Chapter 19: Chisaki.

Yuki closed his eyes and sighed, his body levitated off the ground and started to emit a soft glow. A beautiful halo appeared over his head and a pair of wings behind his back.

Aizawa who was now recovered gasped at the sight, Yuki moved towards the room Chisaki was shooting from as he levitated a few inches above the ground.

Yuki waved his hands and a shield made of light formed before him, the bullets kept striking the barrier yet there was no sound of the collision, it was as if they were accepted in a welcoming embrace as they vanished when they came in contact with the shield.

Chisaki was now feeling the full brunt of horror when each of the small details came together and formed the worst nightmare he could ever dream of. He was facing a monster that was not a bit hindered by the hail of bullets he was showered with, his subordinates were nowhere to be seen despite the sound of the bullets, and to finish it off, there was Eraser Head, who is known for his quirk of erasure.

His subordinates were captured, his elites were captured as well, his quirk was useless before Aizawa, and even the gun that was his last resort failed to even scratch the monster before him. He was indignant, he refused to accept his fate, he was not willing his dream to end like this.

The quirk destroying bullet was not ready yet but the research was finally about to show results and at this final stage of his plans, it all came down crumbling like a house of cards. Where just one more step, could take him to his ambitions, where just a few more days could finally bring results from the research, a little more security could have prevented all of this.

Chisaki dashed towards Yuki in a maddened frenzy as his eyes dimmed with a thousand regrets. Yuki raised his hands and signaled Aizawa to stand down, with a gesture and stood there before Chisaki looking impassive.

Chisaki who felt that his quirk had returned now took off his gloved and rushed in, just a single touch and he could drag the one responsible for his failure to his death, he rushed in and stretched his hands activating his quirk.

The hand stopped an inch away from Yuki's chest and Chisaki spoke with a gruff voice, "why don't you move, why don't you defend yourself, why did you do this to me, why are you doing this now? Why?... Why?... why…"

Chisaki slumped on the ground, Yuki looked at the broken man before him and sighed, "Chisaki, you are not evil, you are just someone who has lost his way, someone blinded by this society's bias, someone shaped by its corruption, you are the creation of the world's evil and yet, you are suffering."

Yuki placed his hand on Chisaki's shoulder and lifted him to stand up, he looked into Chisaki's eyes and smiled, "it's going to be fine now, you don't need to bear this burden anymore, you won't have to hide your self behind that mask of apathy and cruelty, you won't have to suffer anymore."

"I-Its useless, there was never a chance of redemption or an option of return on the path I had taken, no matter what I do the crimes I committed will never vanish, the pain I made the people suffer won't go away and the blood on my hands will never fade. There is no forgiveness for what I have done, no redemption for a soul dark as mine, even if I am arrested, the vicious cycle of hatred will never stop." Chisaki spoke as tears formed around his hollowed eyes.

"Yes, you are right about the wrongs that will never vanish, but let me tell you something. Chisaki, you can still walk the path of redemption, repent on your wrongs as you work on them, do greater rights to let your wrongs be forgiven. There are so many like you, forced by their circumstances, dealt with an unfair hand at life and love."

"So, let me ask you Chisaki, are you willing to be the one who brings them back to the path of light and righteousness, would you take a stand to show the world that there is no soul that can't be redeemed, no soul beyond forgiveness, no man beyond salvation, would you show them the path as you bear the torch and lead them on a path of repentance?" Yuki spoke with a soft voice that was warm, kind, and brought something that Chisaki had lost sight of, 'hope'

"I will…" came the reply with the tears of all the bottled-up emotions, frustrations, and finally relief.

It was that night that a believer was born, a man who would face his past with open arms as he walks the path of redemption.

The live feed of the operation was seen by the operatives back in the base, they had different opinions on Yuki's act of mercy but none had the thought that it could fail, they knew that Chisaki despite all his wrongs would be a better man now and all that is left, is to watch him as he walks the path of salvation.

Back to Yuki,

Aizawa restrained Chisaki and signaled the Guards to storm the building and restrain the sleeping bunch of idiots. Yuki walked into the room and opened the door that led him to a room of a little girl who was sleeping with a pained expression and dried tears on her little face.

Yuki softly placed his hand on her head and caressed it while healing her, feeling the soothing warmth, a smile appeared on Eri's face as she continued to sleep peacefully.

Yuki gently picked her up in his arms and walked out of the place, nodding at the smiling operatives who were celebrating their success as they loaded the still knocked out idiots in the transport vehicles brought by the police.

The full footage of the mission was passed to the police authorities and the GUARD operatives took their leave with Aizawa, who had a smile and a lot of thoughts in his head.

Yuki returned to the mansion not knowing that the next day his fame would break the charts and he would gain an extremely loyal fanbase. That's for the next day and Yuki was back at the Yoyorozu Mansion where he was greeted by the maids as they opened the doors for him.

"Don't disturb anybody, go back to your duties and make sure that by morning I have all the necessities for the little one I am holding," Yuki ordered as he closed the door behind him and placed Eri on the bed to let her continue sleeping.

After freshening up, Yuki joined her in bed and dozed off.
