Chapter 18: Dinner and Delacour.

Thomas returned to his room where Albus met him and the two had a chat about the deal Albus had made with the African Shaman.

Thomas was very excited with its potential and awesomeness. Then they spoke about Thomas' use of Golemancy and Conjuration and other interesting things about magic till the topic of dinner was brought up and Thomas revealed that he had made a potential dinner arrangement for himself.

An hour later, a staff came to Thomas' door with a letter from Fleur that read:

Dear Thomas,

I would wait for you at the reception at 5,

Awaiting your arrival with expectations.

Yours,

Fleur Delacour.

Thomas took a look at his pocket watch to see that it's already 4:45.

'Damn, did she do this to get one back at me or was the staff tardy in delivering the letter?'

'Nah, the staff don't dare be negligent to the guests who are staying at the penthouse rooms. It must have been her, was she that black bellied in the book? Then again, nothing major was said about her.'

Thomas opened his trunk and took out a suit case and a shoe box from inside. Casting a scourgify at himself, he opened the case.

There was a beautiful azure three-piece suit inside with a matching bow tie. Thomas slipped in the suit and tidied his hair and sprayed a dash of musk to go along with.

From a little box he took out beautiful silver cuffs with emeralds encrusted in them and put them on and kept his pocket watch that had the Slytherin family crest encrusted on it with emeralds.

Neatly combed hair and sleek leather boots enhanced the look further and as the finishing touch, he transfigured his wand into a gentlemen's walking stick again.

This one had a silver serpent coiling around the staff and it's opened mouth displayed its fierce fangs and its eyes held rubies while its scales were glazed with a golden sheen. It looked absolutely life like and Thomas decided to get himself a stick like this when he returned to Britain.

It was 4:59 when Thomas was ready, he apparated to the reception and looking at his pocket watch he smiled to see it tick 5:00.

Sweeping his gaze around, he saw that Fleur was yet to come to the reception and a slight curve formed on his lips.

Him standing there with a pocket watch in his hands, a soft smile adorning his handsome face was a scene that made heads turn, it was not just limited to the younger witches, the older witches felt a pang of regret of not being born later, to be the same age as this amazing young man.

Fleur POV:

I was surprised when daddy allowed my dinner date with Thomas, his face showed reluctance but he agreed none the less, mum could not come but she had sent a dress just in case an occasion like this pops up.

I can't thank her enough. Well, now that I am almost done preparing, I can tell the attendant to pass him the letter.

It's for fifteen minutes from now, let's see what can he come up with, fufu, that's for troubling me on the duel arena.

I came down to the reception five minutes before the promised time and decided to hide myself to see what he does.

Waiting for a while, all I could hear was about our duel and how epic it was, I was satisfied to listen to the praises but somewhere in my heart I was still frustrated at my loss.

Huff, who could win against that bully, he always uses the weirdest spells and even pulls pranks while dueling. I really want to crack open that noggin of his and see what's inside.

How can someone his age be so good at magic, so calm, even pulling pranks on the opponent facing hexes and curses. Not a single flaw in his seamless coordination of attack and defences.

I was grumbling, yes, how can a lady not be frustrated at her loss? But suddenly I felt a ripple of magic.

I turned my head to see Thomas standing there in a three-piece suit, with a beautiful cane in his hand. I knew that I was staring, however rude that maybe, I could not move my gaze away from him.

'Just who is the veela among us?'

I decided to surprise him from behind and sneaked up to him.

When I was about to spook him, he knocked his staff on the floor and my concealing spell came off. He turned around and took my hand in a gentlemanly manner and placed his lips on my knuckles, looking right into my eyes.

"You look gorgeous, Miss Delacour. Such beauty hidden behind a concealing charm is no short of blasphemy."

POV ends.

"How did you find me?" she asked with a pout.

'What is this cute Pokémon?'

Thomas smiled and slowly neared his face to hers, his lips almost touching his ears, he whispered.

"Next time you might want to apply an odour masking charm as well. Your sweet smell makes it hard not to notice."

She was madly blushing at such intimate contact and was wondering how could someone as young as him be so smooth.

'Is he a playboy already? But he is so young.' She thought.

"Can I have the honor of keeping your company for this evening, Miss Delacour?"

"Yes, Lord Slytherin, I would be pleased to."

The passing people were stunned to see the two they were talking about standing together and smiling as they had a little chat before leaving the premises. Discussions flared, women tend to be gossipy, no matter muggle or magical.

All of the ministry knew that Thomas and Fleur were on a date by the hour, some of them were sad, while the others rejoiced.

Them being together was like a perfect couple, leaving the other girls and boys open to pursue. The hottest products were taken out of the market, making it easier for the others to have a fling or two, since they knew that they could not match either of the two to fight for the other's affection.

The couple walked hand in hand, chatting about magic, each-other and sometimes silly jokes. They made heads turn in admiration, desire and envy.

They looked so harmonious together, one could even say that they have been together for years. They walked to the muggle side, Fleur was a bit reluctant to the idea but Thomas managed to convince her into it, and boy was she glad about it.

She was all sparkly-eyed and marveled at the sight of the muggle world, she spent most of her time asking questions about the muggle contraptions or the electronics as we know them and Thomas patiently answering her.

"I really wonder who is the older one between us?" Thomas teased her.

She pouted with a blush on her face thinking about her childish actions and Thomas' mature ones.

"It can't be blamed. I am after all a thousand-year-old monster walking the earth." Thomas said with a self-depreciating laugh.

Fleur knew that his words were played like a joke but she somehow knew that they were not. Call it a woman's intuition but she was damn right about it. Fearsome skill, woman's intuition that is.

They had a nice dinner at a classy restaurant and left after paying the bill to take another stroll on their way back. Thomas spoke about tips and tricks to use in duels and other things that he found interesting while she did the same.

Sitting on a bench with two hot-chocolates, they were having the time of their lives when they heard a roaring sound.

I kind of messed up, this chap was supposed to be there before the one I published yesterday...

So, I'll fix the order and rewrote it again.
