THE HEIGHT OF WICKEDNESS

For the next few days I hardly saw my uncle and aunt, while was a good thing for me but it still bothered me. I continued with my daily activities as I usually did and even saw Mr Heathcliff but i ignored him, i would admit i was infatuated by him from the moment I met him but I didn't make my feelings obvious, he was a nice man, caring, sweet and all I ever wanted in a man but Ria had chosen him.

The next day Aunt Ophelia called me and told me that the selections of the females was the day after tomorrow, I felt my heart drop, i nodded because I knew there was nothing I could do.I left her room and went to my little room and started packing my things.

That night I had a dream, in that dream I was tied up tightly on my wrist, blindfolded and I was struggling, i heard the voices of men and i was crying and begging for my freedom. When I woke up I was sweating and panting, i touched my wrists and I was shaking, my head fell heavy and my body felt like it was on fire. I had a fever a bad one, Elder Athena suggested I stayed in bed,my aunt was obviously very unhappy but didn't say anything, Elder Athena made a bitter herbal medicine and I had to drink it, after that I slept off and when I woke I saw Ria staring at me, I was scared and when I asked what she wanted she smiled and said, you don't have to fake your sickness, it's pointless because mother is still going to sell you away tomorrow, you must leave this house tomorrow whether you like it or not and walked away. I was irritated instantly and I went back to sleep and woke up again at midnight I felt alot better and decided to take a walk around the house to stretch my body because I had been in bed all day.

After the walk, i decided to go to the kitchen to get water when I heard sounds coming from the backyard, it was my aunt and uncle with two other people, i recognized one of the voices, but I didn't remember the owner of the voice, I wondered why they were having a discussion at midnight in the backyard, so I listened to their conversations .
