THE ESCAPE

I woke up as early as 4 and prepared everything I was running away with, then I ran out of the house through the back and ran into the woods to drop my bag and snuck back into the house.

I woke up again by six and continued with my normal morning routine and when it was time to get water, I went into Elder Athena's room to say goodbye, I was going to miss she and Leo the most. As I walked in she was sitting on the bed, she looked at me and smiled. I greeted her and then she gave me an address and some money.

I know what that you are planning to escape and I know why, she said I was shocked.

On the other side of this kingdom I have a friend, he will help you. This money will be enough to get you there, be careful my child and then she smiled.

A tear slipped from my eyes, and I wiped it off immediately. I gave her one last hug before I left her room, I wanted to say goodbye to Leo too but he was still asleep.

As I stepped out of the room I bumped into uncle Donovan and my heart skipped a beat. I greeted him and walked away quickly.

I met my aunt and Ria in the drawing room discussing in hushed tones, I walked in and greeted them and they stopped talking.

You will be leaving the house today for the selections, I hope you won't embarrass our family's name you witch, aunt Ophelia said.

I wanted to ignore her but I didn't, not after she planned to sell me and yelled, the only embarrassment here is your daughter who jumps from one man's bed to another, a Duke, Lord, Baron even Lucas the mailman, like a sex addict.

They both looked shocked at my outburst. Ria stood up to slap me but her mother stopped her and asked me to leave, I did leave but stood at the door to listen, i wanted to know why my aunt stopped Ria .

Have you lost it Ria her mother said, why did you try to hit her. You heard Mr Norman he won't buy Andronika if she is too bruised and also if you're going to sleep around like a slut I didn't train you to be, try to be more secretive about it.

My aunt was coming towards the door, so I ran out of the house with my bucket that contained the address and money Elder Athena gave me , I took one more look at the house that I once called home. I was sure of one thing this was never my home and I decided last night to travel to Niverllia to find my parents people.

I walked out of the gate and looked back to see my aunt, uncle, Felix and Ria looking at me through the window. I continued walking till I was out of sight, I got my bag from the woods, stuffed it with what I got from Elder Athena and more food I stole from the kitchen and then....I RAN as fast as I could not because someone was chasing me but because I finally tasted freedom I always craved and it was refreshing.

I knew the journey wouldn't be easy but I physically, mentally and emotionally prepared myself for the worst.
