The enemies camp

I woke on a bed in a tent, the tent was so fancy and spacious and then it hit me. I fell asleep in the carriage with two men who are strangers and worse vampires.

I needed to get out of here and as I peered through the window I discovered I was in their camp, a war camp, and it seemed Damian a commander or something because he tent was bigger and fancier than the others.

I ran out of the tent in an attempt to escape and bumped into Damian, damn it. He looked at me with a bored expression as usual and said you wouldn't last 10 minutes outside this camp alone.

So why did you bring me here, I angrily asked. We tried to wake you up but who knew you sleep like a log of wood. I suggested that we left you by the roadside, but Lucian insisted we bring you here, so here we are.

You wanted to leave me by the roadside, I asked perplexed. Yes, he replied nonchalantly.

What exactly was wrong with this man. Where are we, I asked.

Mr Damian, and he turned his head and looked annoyed and I decided to ask him all my questions including the one I asked Alexander tomorrow so I won't annoy him.

Am I safe here, I asked instead. Yes you are, nothing will attack you, I nodded and he started leaving but turned around again and said. No vampire will attack you Miss Samaras and then he walked out before I could I could reply.

His words shocked me because that was exactly why I asked if I was safe. Do vampires also have the ability to read minds. But his words kind of comforted me and I slept faster than I thought I would.
