King Balthazar II

Soldiers were scattered everywhere, many injured, profusely bleeding and very few dead. I panicked and ran back into to my tent to grab my bag and was about to run away when I realized how incredibly ungrateful I was being.

So I decided to look for Damian and Lucian, I did find them but the usual smile on Lucian's face was gone, he looked worried.

I don't know what came over me but the next thing I said shocked even me. How can I help, I said.

Lucian looked surprised, but recovered and for the first time I saw a change in Damian's expression but it was a split second before it went back to his usual bored expression.

You can help with some of the injured soldiers, Lucian said. I was confused, weren't vampires able to heal themselves or was that just a myth. Lucian seemed to understand the reason behind my confused expression and replied.

We have that ability but the weapons they are using against us are coated with poison, that slows the healing process drastically and it can lead to death, the poison is very deadly so just go help them quickly, Lucian said.

I took the first aid kit and started helping the injured vampires, the injured vampires were suprised and confused to see me treating their wounds but were to weak to question me, the treatment didn't seem to work and the soldiers were looking weaker ,then I suddenly remembered the herbal soup Elder Athena makes, she said it was for any type of poison, no matter how strong it is.

I remembered how she made it and was about to make it too when I realized I should at least ask for Lucian and Damian permission but I couldn't find them anywhere, his soldiers were dying and I couldn't just stand there and do nothing.

Luckily I saw the girl who served me in the morning, and she directed me to the kitchen and they surprisingly had almost every kind of greens and herbs, I recover from my shock and started preparing the soup, it was harder this time because I was cooking for alot of vampires.

After preparing everything with the help of the servant girl whose name is Evelyn and other servants the herbal soup was distributed while the soldiers were eating the soup many thoughts crossed my mind, what if the medicines made their injuries worse, those vampires would definitely kill me.

To my relief I saw their wounds closing up and was relief, at that same moment Lucian and Damian walked in and were suprised to see their severely injured soldiers up and kicking.

But Damian didn't look pleased after he found out I was behind this, he walked up to me and stopped right infront of me and said loudly, NEVER FEED ANYTHING TO MY SOLDIERS WITHOUT MY PERMISSION. Only the Divine one knows what you fed them.

I felt a surge of anger and I snapped, I saved your soldiers lives, something you their leader couldn't do and this is the thank you I get, you are the most ungrateful person I've ever met.

They would have been dead by now and to be clear I looked for you and Lucian to ask for "HIS MAJESTY'S" permission to save lives but I couldn't find you anywhere, and I couldn't watch them die knowing I could do something about it.

So I am very sorry for healing your soldiers and saving their lives, and with that I furiously walked into my tent pushing him with my shoulder.
