"Listen kid are you sure you want me to take your picture like that?" Asked an old man as he stared at naruto.

"Ya come on just do it. Come on I'm ready." Naruto enthusiastically yelled out while sitting a little ways away from the camera man.

"Alright just don't blame me later. Say cheese." The old man replied as he took the picture.

*flash*

*click*

After the flash and hearing the click of the camera Naruto ran over and looked over the old man's shoulder to see his picture for his ninja ID. And there it was "perfect." Naruto stated as he held up a picture of him wearing kabuki face paint with red swirls all over him while he wore his signature orange jumpsuit. While on the outside he looked like his usual self on the inside he was wincing as he thought 'I can't wait to just replace this me with a clone and go back to being the real me. It felt…good to just be myself.'

*shinobi academy*

"Take it again I know what your doing but this is to much." The hokage spoke from a seat across from Naruto and he held up a paper with Naruto's ID picture.

"No way old man I won't take it again!" naruto replied like the conversation with the hokage and dragon never happened last night.

"We can't expect this photo. You don't wear the dace paint and swirls on a daily basis." The hokage explained his reasoning

As the two stated to glare at eachother naruto got an idea as he stood up. Without any hand seals he turned into his female almost nude form. "Pretty please hokage-sama." She spoke in a seductive and tempting tone

Flying back from a nosebleed the hokage fell to the floor. After a few moments he got back up and spoke while cleaning his nose with a napkin. "Naruto." The hokage tried as Naruto returned back to his original form.

"I'll do it again." Naruti replied

"Fine but don't use that jutsu on me again." Hiruzen replied.

As the door slowly opened and a small brown haired kid with a long scarf ran in. He was holding a blunted shurinan. "OLD MAN I WILL DEFEAT YOU AND BECOME THE FITH HOKAGE!" He yelled as he ran towards the hokage.

Just raising an eyebrow as the hokage hid his face behind his hat Naruto thought 'well thats pathetic.' As he watched the child trip over his own scarf and face plant into the wooden ground.

Just then a jonin with sunglasses ran into the room and saw the boy groaning in pain on the floor "something tripped me." The kid spoke

Seeing the scene infront of him the jonin exclaimed "are you ok honorable grandson."

Looking around the kid saw Naruto looking at him and walked up to him "your the one who tripped me aren't you?" He asked/stated

"You tripped over your own feet kid." Naruto spoke as he picked up the kid by the collar of his shirt.

"Hey you boy take your hands off the honorable grandson. He's the grandson of the honorable third hokage." The jonin exclaimed

"Huh." Naruto looked at the third seeing him nod he was about to speak but

"What's the matter huh. Afraid ti hit me because of my grandfather." The kid exclaimed

"Hmm oh I don't care." Replied Naruto as he punched the kid on the back of the head. Than leaving the room naruto left.

*classroom*

"What are you doing here naruto. This isn't for dropouts you can't be here unless you graduated." Shikamaru asked curiously as he walked up to naruto.

"Oh ya, do you see this. Open your eyes shikamaru it's a regulation headband. We're going to be training together how do you like that." Naruto retorted as he finished there was a rumbling before both ino and Sakura bursted in through the door. 'Sakura.' Naruto thought with a small blush.

Up in the corner hidden behind a genjutsu, and unnoticed by all a cat masked anbu narrowed her eyes at the scene 'a fan girl really naru you can do better.' She thought as she went through real kunoichi in her head 'hmm kuranai is dating Asuma, naiomi is basically lesbian, Hana wouldn't date someone weaker than herself not that Naru will be this pathetic for long, if what I saw on dragon-sama's *naruto training regime* sheet was true. That just leaves anko hmmm. They're both hated by the village. Have seals placed in them against their will, and they both have an inner crazy if what I saw in Naruto's eyes last night is true. Yes they'd be perfect for each other.' As thoughts of how to set one of her best friends up with her little brother ran through her head naruto had a cold chill run down his spine as he looked around on guard.

Meanwhile in the T&I building a purple haired kunoichi who was torturing a nude and fingerless mizuki suddenly got a shit eating grin as she spoke "hmm I feel as if I'm getting a new play thing soon." Before going back to cutting the sobbing mizuki up.

Back with Naruto he focused back on Sakura. Running towards him he spoke "hi Sakura."

"Move dobe." Sakura announced before pushing him out of the way and standing next to sasuke "hi sasuke-kun. Can I ait next to you?"

"Move away forehead I reached the classroom first everyone saw it I'm sitting next to sasuke-kun." Ino announced as she pushed Sakura

"Shut up ino-pig I got here first." Sakura retorted as they fought. Drawing in more fangirls.

*hokage tower*

"So that's the most promising new genin sasuke uchiha." A jonin asked while looking into the hokages all seeing orb.

"Yes that's the one." The hokage answered

'Naruto uzumaki hmm…' thought a masked jonin with silver hair.

*academy classroom*

Seeing all the fan girls gather around sasuke Naruto got a sour look before shooting a longing one at Sakura. Than sighing he moved to the back and sat next to shikamaru who was sitting with his head in the desk. "Shika." Naruto greeted

"Naruto." Shikamaru replied not looking up but there was a calculating look behind his lazy eyes as he looked at Naruto. 'Something's different any other day and he would of picked a fight with sasuke.' He thought

After a few minutes iruka walked in. "Ok class quiet down." He spoke only getting a hand full of students to quiet down. Seeing this iruka got a tick mark as his head enlarged and "SHUT UP!" After scaring all those who didn't know he was here he continued in his normal voice. "You've all faced some trials and hardships but that's nothing compared to what comes next. Now your all only genin, you'll be grouped into three man squads. Lead by one jonin."

'Hmm there an even number of genin in here how are they ganna send me away and keep the numb…' Naruto thought only to be interrupted by the door opening

"Hello is this the graduation room?" Asked a monotone voice. Looking over you would see a pale white kid with black hair and eyes. "My name is sai and I'm here from a special training program. Sorry for being late but I've never been here before and got lost."

"Hmm sai huh." Iruka replied as he looked through his line up. "Ah yes go ahead take your seat."

'Something about him is wrong.' Naruto thought as he stared at the boy.

While up in the corner cat thought 'root. Seems like danzo's hate boner for the uchiha is shining through again I bet this sai is here to assassinate the uchiha.'

"Anyways I will now announce the squads.....team seven sasuke uchiha, Sakura haruno, and sai. Team eight hinata hyuga, kiba inuzuka, and shino aburame. And finally team ten ino yamanaka, Shikamaru Nara, and choji akamichi."

Looking at the unresponsive naruto Shikamaru narrowed his eyes further. Deciding to make his question know he asked "iruka-sensei what about Naruto. Didn't he fail the graduation exam. Also why didn't you call his name if he did pass?"

'Shit I should of made a scene.' Naruto internally cursed

"Hmm oh naruto yes he did fail the graduation test but upon further review the hokage suggested that he be put in the hokage tower to gain better people skills and to calm him down." Iruka answered

"Haha the dobe has an office job." Announced the inuzuka

"Shut up dog butt why don't we take this outside huh!" Naruto yelled out

"See what I mean. You can't solve all your problems with your fists naruto." Iruka explained to the class who just nodded.

*hakage office*

"Hokage-sama I requested Naruto." Kakashi stated but there was an unasked question in his eye.

"Naruto isn't ready to be a ninja but this was the best way to get him out of the civilian councils grasp. Now I will finally be able to get him proper training. Not the bribed or hateful academy teachers that taught him all wrong or the so called tutors that just beat him up and called it training." The hokage stated without answering kakashi's unasked question. Seeing this kakashi just stayed silent but there was a curious glint in his eye.

"Alright go get your teams." The hokage announced as the jonin filed out.

*academy classroom*

"Alright you'll meet your sensei's after lunch till then dismissed." Iruka announced as they all filed out of the class.

*outside*

"Hey sakura want to eat lunch together?" Naruto asked

"No why would I want to eat with you. Your nothing but an annoying dobe getting in the way of me and sasuke-kun." Sakura spoke as she walked off leaving Naruto behind.

Sighing Naruto just jumped up into a tree and laid his head against the trunk of it. "You can do way better than a fan girl."

Cats voice sounded out from his right.

Jumping up and into a fighting stance naruto saw cat standing there and got a conflicting look in his eyes for a second, before he did something he's good at masking his emotions. "I don't know what you mean cat. it doesn't matter anyways after all I'll be working an office job far away from her." Naruto replied in his monotone as he sat back down and stared at all the new genin down below unnoticed to all of them.

Staring at the blond for a few seconds she reached out her hand towards him before bringing it back not touching him. "Your right office jobs and relationships don't really mix. But sometimes you get lucky like I did. You just got to keep searching there are plenty of fish in the sea."

Snorting Naruto replied "not for someone like me. The only one who would except me would by the hyuga heiress but she's not my type."

"Oh and what is your type?" Cat asked as she slowly moved closer

Throwing her a suspicious and slightly scared look that hurt her more than he realized he spoke hesitantly "why did you leave."

"I'm not allowed to say." She replied

"Weasel?" He asked

"Your not stupid you know what happend to him." Cat replied

Looking down he just nodded as a sad and somber mood settled in. Trying to dispel the mood she asked "how about we start over I'm cat."

Looking at her doing his best to hold in his confused emotions he replied "I'm fox."

Smiling a little behind her mask she continued "what is your favorite food?"

Smiling a little as well naruto replied while looking out across the yard. "Ramen how about you nek…cat?"

Taking a seat next to the blond, cat replied "fish."

Smirking a little as his eyes softened up, Naruto turned to her "so the cat likes fish huh?"

"And ramen isn't that good." She replied with a similar smirk.

Narrowing his eyes he spoke "ramen is the food of the gods."

"No fish are the food of the gods. You can have it fried, grilled, or raw." Cat replied as she layed a hand on Naruto's head and ruffled his hair with a giggle. Unable to stop the small purr that emanated from his throat naruto tried to escape from the cats hold but was unable to. "Give up yet?" She asked

"Never you won't win again neko-nee." After he blurted out the last part he covered his mouth and looked at the cat masked anbu. Waiting to see if she'd leave home all alone again.

Letting out a content smile cat brought her hand down from his head and started rubbing his cheek and whisker mark's affectionately getting a louder purr from his throat. "Don't worry nar…kit I won't leave you. Not again."

Letting a real smile come across his face naruto just relaxed into his sisters arms as he held her tight.

In a tree a little ways away dragon watched all of this. 'Bought time those two made up. If only itachi was here.' Dragon thought as they clenched their fists. 'Damm you danzo I'll pay you back for what you did, and that rouge uchiha that messed everything up.' As they finished their thoughts twin crimson orbs could be seen glowing from behind the black mesh of the eyeholes in their mask. Than they disappeared as if no one was there.
