You can ride dragons?!

"Hey, Ojisan, when are we arriving at the next town? We've been riding for a whole week already! My butt is numb!"

"We'll get there when we get there, Miss. I didn't know you had such a filthy mouth."

"Don't you tell my Mom I speak like this whenever she isn't around."

"You got it. I enjoy your true self better anyway. That royal way of speech is not my thing either."

{Anabel sight} I wasn't joking about my butt being numb after a whole week just riding on horseback. We occasionally had to stop to buy food, and I knew I shouldn't complain; we were all in the same position, so I was simply being a rude, entitled brat.

But so what?! So what if I'm being a little entitled!? Why did I have to come look for a rare thing like Palladium in the middle of nowhere?! Didn't I have people to do that for me?! Ah, maybe that whole adventurer stuff wasn't meant for me.

Okay, calm down. Calm down. It's not a big deal; it's all for my first weapon. Wasn't all this my idea to begin with? Yeah! That was my goal! I only needed to craft myself a weapon to finally enjoy the thrill of battle instead of relying on my guards!

So far, whenever we encountered trouble like goblins and wolves, the shadows following us always jumped into action quickly, getting rid of the enemies for us. It was kind of boring.

Our horses were also growing tired; they began to take longer breaks and slowed down with time. Honestly, I wondered why the heck I hadn't taken one of the dragons as transport instead? Oh yeah, they hate me.

Let me drop a little story. When I tried to mount a running dragon for the first time. It won't take long. The day was set right before we searched for the rare materials.

[A couple of days ago around the castle stables.]

"Wooohh!! You guys got dragons!? Can I mount one?!"

"Of course, my lady. Let me get one for you. Please wait outside."

The guard in charge of the stables had requested me to be outside, so I did and then waited for my amazing new dragon ride to arrive. I was so excited! Who wouldn't? Are you kidding me? I was about to ride a freaking literal dragon! Of course, I was excited!

The guard soon came to the outside while leading a medium-sized dragon. It was not like I knew what a large or small one looked like, but I could still judge based on appearance, right? Whatever! It was still a dragon!

"This one should be the best for a delicate lady like you, Princess Anabel. It's the most docile of all of them; please come; I'll help you mount it."

I waited no longer, and as soon as he said it was fine, I tried to mount it!

"Wah! AHHH!!! WHY?! AHHHHHH!!!"

{Angry dragon noises while intense feet stomping.}

The dragon took no chill towards me. As soon as I tried to mount it, it just began to move and rave violently with me on its back. It acted like a bull from back in my world. What was his problem?!

From then, well, you could've imagined how quickly I ended up on the floor with nasty scratches all around my body, with a raging dragon still trying to stomp me. What the hell? Why?!

The trainer was fast enough to pull the dragon back into the stable as another guard cared for my wounds.

"We are sorry, Princess Anabel, they have never done that to anyone. We got no idea why it acted like that."

"Don't worry, just don't tell anyone this ever happened, please!"

[Back to the horseback ride.]

The experience was so embarrassing back then, so I am blushing now after retelling you the story. I later learned dragons hate people with low Magicule count, and I just so happen to have none!

Oh, my luck was down bad; I knew it was not good, but come on! I couldn't even ride a dragon!? For God's sake! I wanted to try it! This was not fair! Oh, just you wait, you Goddess! I will make you pay!

That's right! I had a goal in mind. I wanted to prove that Goddess wrong. I wasn't about to let her smile on her throne, watching me struggle! I wouldn't give her the satisfaction of surrendering to some mild inconveniences!

Just you wait! Whoever is up there watching! I will prove your magic is a hoax that I don't need! If magic is not allowed for me, then fine! I will make my own magic! I will make my own power!

"It's time to rest. Let's stop near those trees for tonight." Alex interrupted my inspirational speech. How inconsiderate.

"What do we have to eat today?"

"The same we have been eating the past few days. Bread and Dried meat, we got nothing else, thanks, your spoiled majesty."

Hey! At least I had packed some food! You had both only packed tools and other useless stuff! You should both be thankful I was even sharing my food with you! Mppphh!
