The Gods are always messing with me and It's bothersome! Leave me alone already! I have changed! I'm not a bad person! Stop trying to make me one! Anabel! Arrested Lolita?!

[Overwrite timer has run out, deactivating Pride series.]

Just as the thing had been saying not long ago, the surge of energy that had allowed me to recover had left my body, which only meant that I was fully recovered. It was terrible news as I had to face reality now.

After removing my last pair of bandages, a nurse soon said I was good to go. Man, the Healing magic of this world was crazy; I had no scar left behind, and all my tissue had healed entirely. All in a week.

Now, my issue was all surrounding my parents; they had basically told me to scramble after recovery. Was that really it? People claimed I killed three other kids, and they were okay with just letting me go? Puff, ahaha, that would have been too hopeful.

Right as I was walking out of the hospital, some important-looking guards and a mean-looking woman arrested me.

"Anabel of Gerald, you have summoned to the round table judgment room to plea for your three counts of first-degree murder."

"But I didn't do any of what I'm being accuse.... UGH!"

"Shut up! Criminal! You only speak when you get permission to do so."

A harsh punch from one of the guards left me breathless. I had just recovered from a mortal injury, you dam jerk! It still hurts to even walk. What the hell is wrong with them?!

It was quite the scene if I'm being honest; they had a whole squadron of elite soldiers arresting a tiny, powerless girl like me. Goddam, I guess I did end up getting six stars; the police weren't enough. They needed to send in the military for a kid.

At the end of the day, I was sent in to sleep at the town's jail, literally right next to hardcore grown-ass adults and other dangerous people. Dam, this world wasn't chill when it came to age, uh? I'm still ten, dam it! Why am I down here with these people?!

"Hey, fresh meat. What are you in here for?"

"Yeah, what you in here for? I got here because I stole the lord's wife if you know what I mean. Aha!"

I had to choose my words wisely as it could be the marker of the criminals either fearing or pitting me. Either wasn't ideal, but I hoped for at least some respect.

"I'm allegedly a serial killer. Care to find out?"

I had to be the master of disguise, so I pushed myself to say the words as cold as I could possibly muster while also holding the best murderous look on my face, but when the criminals didn't seem to budge even a little bit, I got nervous.

I probably ended up looking ridiculous. I mean, me? A serial killer? I mean, just look at me. I looked like my name was Princess Peach, and the colorful dress I usually wore didn't help at all!

I stood there nervous, still trying to keep up the act, but my face was clearly drenched in sweat as the bandits didn't seem to eat my story. Thankfully, one of them broke the silence, saving me from the cringe.

"You'll probably be gone by the morning; don't get too cozy here. This place is not for you, kiddo."

Yes sir! I could finally move on from my failed attempt at being a badass. Now, I was just sitting in a corner of the cell. I sat down with my legs touching my chin and my arms around myself. I felt like crying, but I had to be strong. Now was not the time to cry.

Surprisingly enough, nobody tried to approach me the entire night, making me think that maybe I wasn't that attractive. Don't get me wrong, I definitely did not want to get molested, but come on, nobody even tried? Man, am I that ugly?!

Whatever, perhaps I was just lucky, but considering all that had been happening to me, my luck seemed to be non-existent. The guards soon came, and I was dragged out of the cell and unto the court within ten minutes of waking up.
