"Okay, so what do we need to begin construction?"

"A lot of materials. We can get most of them through the crown, but some will not be as easy to get." Said Alexander.

"Do you think the idea is even plausible?"

"I wouldn't be here if I didn't. The general theory should be able to work, but of course, everything is just a theory until you try it."

"Has anyone tried before?"

"No, there is just no need. I did want to ask a little about your reasons, but I don't care."

Good, so he was doing all the work out of curiosity? I had struck good luck then I had someone ready to put in the work just for the fun of it.

There were people like him in my world, too, who put an immense amount of hours into something, not seeking any reward but rather doing it because of the experience or simply to cure their own boredom.

Curious people were the best overall. So, with the help of Alex, I wrote down a list of materials, which I then passed on to my mom, "The Queen." As for the rest of the materials, we would have to get them ourselves.

Yeah, that included me. I was skeptical at first, but when I got the green light from the King, I had no choice but to go with Alex and his son on the lookout for materials.

We had to hide the fact that I was a princess. So the maids quickly found me a set of Low-middle-class clothing so I could go with Alex and David. I still looked fabulous even with cheap clothes; geez, this body was pretty.

I had only one teeny tiny problem with the clothes. The corset was way too tight; I could barely breathe when sitting. The make-up also made me look older, but that was okay. It was for my protection.

Aside from Alex and David, some personal guards called "Shadows." They would also follow us around to keep an eye on me so there was nothing to worry about, even if we were going to the black market.

"Princess Anabel, I must get this out of the way already, but you will have to act as my daughter and not like the princess."

"That's okay. I'm not that stupid. I will refrain from acting abnormal."

Soon, we were already riding into town on a comfortable horseback ride. The city we had gone to resembled one I had been to way too close. I felt bad as I began to remember the streets, as it hadn't even been one year.

It was my previous hometown, the place I was hung to death. What the hell could we possibly hope to find in a place like this?! It had nothing to offer other than stupidity and arrogance.

What was worse is that I saw my head still putrified and hanging from a stick in the middle of the street as a reminder of some kind. I wanted to leave as soon as possible when I saw that.

"Kami! Please look away. This kind of thing rarely happens in the poorer parts of the kingdom. Sorry, you had to see that." Alex whispered so as not to call much attention.

"It's okay. I'm not bothered, but what are we looking for here?"

"We need to find the trader and the Witch. They got out of business when they married, but it seems like they're back in business."

Again, I had a bad feeling about it. I just prayed to Kami it wouldn't be my alternate parents. I really didn't want to see their disgusting, ugly faces ever again; they had dumped me faster than a rat with rabies.

And in good old fashion, my lousy luck made us approach my old home ever so slightly. I was preparing to see my parents again, albeit I didn't want to.

"You okay? You seem uncomfortable." Asked David.

"it- it's the corset I can't breathe!"

"Good luck with that. I would suggest losing a couple of pounds as soon as we return. Try some salads."

What the fuck?! Did he just call me fat to my face?! Hello? Sure, I had gained some weight thanks to the new royal lifestyle, but I wasn't that out of shape yet, was I?

David giggled as I touched my chin and cheeks, clearly checking if I was indeed that fat. Oh, that jerk! We are not friends like that yet! Don't get so happy! You bully!

"Here it is, the old home of the Witch. I'm sure they'll have what we need."

And, of dam course. It just had to be my house, hadn't it? This stupid writer wouldn't be happy if they didn't make me cringe every five chapters.

[Please stop already.]

Oh, shut up. You made me wear a tight-ass corset and also made me look at my rotten cut-off head. I think I can break the wall this time!
