I don’t do good with sypnosis because I want to blurt everything out in stuff like this but I also don’t want to give her backstory yet so I just made it super superficial. I atleast gave out the names of our MCs so, you can watch out for them hihi I don’t like rape stories cause I think no matter what you say, it is traumatising and I don’t like romanticising it. I don’t like major misunderstandings as well, I mean..the plot already has enough drama on it I don’t think we need the love line also to be broken when at many times that is what makes them stronger I have the tendency to think of plots when i listen to songs, im sure i am not the only one..so the arcs in this story would have a song that would go with it hihi. Try guessing while reading the book? Ill write the song at the end of every arc. (PS. Im a sucker for 2000 songs) For those people with similar names or places with similar names or schools with similar names, they arent related to the story. I just randomly thought out of some places and names and my friend gave me some as well so im not relating this to real life. Dont plagiarize pls hihi Do give me your comments thank you! Au Revoir!

Brainless Diner

Zhu Ling placed herself comfortably on a nearby counter, as she began to once again scrutinise her surroundings.

There were many different classes of people present. Like those who came to watch the examination, the examinees themselves, a couple of merchants and the remainder were those who simply came for the heat of the situation.

After lazily making her order by simply picking a few random names from the list they gave her, she began to loaf around on her seat.

Thinking about her plans after the examination had begun, she drifted off on her own thoughts, almost cancelling out the people around her.

Zhu Ling leaned back on her chair idly, as she waited for her order to arrive.

Craning her neck towards the ceiling, she closed her eyes as she continued to think about things unrelated to the situation.

"What did you say you want to order?" The sound of an irritated worker came from across her.

Zhu Ling furrowed her brows as she hated being distracted when she is in a sense of remincing.

Not that she was a nostalgic person.

She turned her neck to the direction of the noise and saw two people in their twenties, flustered by the sudden anger thrown at them by the obviously agitated worker.

"Ah! I mean, we want to order this one here. The one with crab, you see?" A young girl pointed at the menu while sternly looking towards the worker who was growing with anger.

Zhu Ling, who was already ticked off by the loud screams of the duo, furrowed her brows and threw a scrutinising glance at the worker.

Why didn't the worker even think to look at the menu?

Was he trying to start a fight here?

For what reason?

Zhu Ling looked curiously at the worker who was acting oddly.

There definitely is something going on. If the worker were to simply look over at the dish they were asking for, then this would have been settled.

It was as if someone wanted to create a ruckus.

"Hey, what is going on over there?"

"Looks like a couple of youths who can't even pronounce a simple dish"

"Are they from the countryside?"

"They must be, look at how drag and poor they are clothed."

"Low breeds, they don't even have proper knowledge. I pity them."

"Don't enter when you don't even know how to read a menu, how dumb can you get?"

Because the bystanders and the other customers in the diner had no intention to conceal their voices, the two who were arguing so heatedly heard them as clear as glass.

This boosted up the workers' intention and spirit to continue as was asked of him.

"If you can't even pronounce a simple dish that is so clearly written in the menu, what makes you think you have the right to be here?" He looked as if he were doing everyone a great justice if he were to throw the two degenerates out.

"Having no sense of class, this diner is not for the likes of you!" After spitting out nonsensical words, the pair who he had been degrading nearly had their last string of rationality broken.

The people around them did not even bother hiding their disdain and started ridiculing the pair of new faces even more.

"Preposterous! Who would have thought that this institution would have ingrates present?"

"This makes me think twice about eating at this diner once again"

"We came here for a decent meal, yet it was ruined by these two beings"

Maybe because it was the comments from around them, but the pair looked like they were walking on a tight rope and they wanted to just break or jump over it.

"Would you just take a look and-" But before she could even finish, the worker cut into her sentence.

"Just leave! You are lowering the quality of service that this prestigious diner has to offer! We have no need of the likes of you here." After finally belching out his words, the worker had the audacity to motion for a couple of guards to enter, in order to escort the duo out.

"This would not have even occurred if you would have just looked at what I have been pointing out all along! See this?!" In the end, the young woman broke loose and let out her anger at the worker.

"Hǎitángsū"

Zhu Ling, who had been irritated with all the distractions, decided to clear up the matter as she was getting tired of the back and forth display of words they were doing.

She stood up from her seat slowly and walked towards the pair while keeping eye contact with the worker.

"That's what they wanted. If you used your eyes, you would have known. Or are they just there for decoration?"

She was annoyed that a small matter like this would be blown up to proportions that did not match its severity and even bothered her rest, so she looked at the worker with her face full of displease and disdain.

The worker froze in place and his face was unreadable. She did not know if he was surprised that someone actually stood up for the two or if he just got mentally stuck.

"Mi- miss.." he began to formulate words once again after he got out of his stupor but Zhu Ling blatantly ignored him.

She faced the two people who were sitting opposite the worker and let out a short sigh.

The young girl who was loud in voicing out her opinions a while ago looked like she was fuming in anger.

She had the look of a youthful woman with a hint of a rebellious spirit. The girl wore simple clothes, adorned with nothing more than a single jewel encrusted chain that did not look too exorbitant.

It was the same with the young man beside her. Though he looked quite recklessly handsome, his clothes seemed to make the people in the diner look towards them as if they were of low birth.

Zhu Ling shook her head at this thought. It was as if clothes and status would define the being of a person.

How ridiculous.

"Being in a facility that does not even use their brains while working, is it worth it?"

Zhu Ling scoffed after looking at the pair and back at the worker who at this time, was sweating nervously and looked like he was grasping the air for words.

She then continued walking towards the exit, disregarding the call of another worker from behind her saying that her meal was ready all the while wondering why did she involve herself in this situaton when she didn't like drama.

She ignored the kid back at the lunch hall, so why did she feel like she had to stand up for this pair?

Ahh, sorry i posted this up late. I finally got back and now I can post. Hurrayy
