Chapter 84: Fight

[Forest Hills, Queens, New York City]

(3rd Person: POV)

"Ugh!!!" Peter groaned.

Slowly but surely opening his eyes.

He then slowly sat up in his bed.

Then once he fully woke up he realized his sickness from yesterday had completely disappeared and he was better.

No, actually Peter felt better than he ever had before.

Getting out of his bed he stood up and stretched, a smile on his face.

He then moved to get dressed, only to stop when he got a look at himself in his mirror.

"What. I have abs?" Peter questioned.

Noticing the four-pack of abs on his chest.

Which made no sense to Peter. Since although he was not big he was not that fit either.

At least not fit enough to have abs.

Yet there they were, in the mirror in front of Peter's very eyes.

"Maybe I'm still dreaming." Peter mused.

He then moved to sit back down on his bed.

In doing so he touched his nightstand, where a piece of paper was situated.

After sitting down Peter began moving his hands to grasp the sides of his head.

Only to stop when he noticed a piece of paper stuck to his hand.

"What the hell?" Peter questioned.

Looking at the piece of paper stuck to his hand.

Which he tried to shake off and let go of. But no matter what Peter did the paper stayed stuck firmly to his hand.

"Come off already." Peter said in frustration.

Finally he took his free hand and grasped the piece of paper to rip it off his other hand.

Only for his free hand to stick to the paper as well.

"Ahh!" Peter groaned.

He then kept struggling to remove his hands from the piece of paper between them.

Until finally he managed it.

Once this happened Peter breathed a sigh of relief.

"Finally." He said.

Peter then went to get dressed.

Only for his underwear and socks to stick to his hands like the piece of paper did only moments ago.

"Why me?" Peter groaned.

"Peter. You up?" May cried.

"Yes aunt May." Peter replied.

"Okay. Here I come." She said.

"No, that's alright aunt May. Just stay downstairs and I'll be down in a moment." Peter quickly replied.

Since he definitely didn't want his aunt May to see what was going on with him this morning.

"Okay. But you have five minutes. And then I'm coming up." May shouted.

Thus Peter did his best to free his clothes from his hands, and get dressed and downstairs before his aunt May came up.

Which he somehow managed to do.

Arriving at the dining room table Peter took his seat.

Earning him looks from both Ben and May.

"Well, looks like someone's feeling better." Ben spoke.

"Yep. Much better in fact uncle Ben." Peter said.

"Are you sure?" May asked. "I think we should take you to the hospital for a quick check-up just to make sure."

"No, really aunt May. I'm fine." Peter said. "Truly."

"But Peter, just last night you were throwing up." May said.

"Yes. But I'm better now, honestly." Peter replied. He then put a smile on his face.

"He does seem much better dear." Ben added.

"Yeah, he looks better. But we don't know if he is better. We still don't know why he got that sick in the first place." May spoke.

"I'm pretty sure it was a stomach bug. One of my classmates got it last week and I must've caught it from them." Peter spoke. Lying.

Since he really did not want to go to the hospital.

"Though I think it's passed out of my system. I even feel well enough to go to school." Peter said. "Please aunt May?" He asked.

"Oh fine, alright." May relented. "But I see even a single cough or sniffle it's off to the hospital for you young man." She said.

"Right." Peter replied. "Thank you aunt May." He spoke.

Peter then ate his breakfast before heading off to school.

An extra pep in his step.

------------------------------------

Arriving at school Peter went ot his locker, grabbed his books, and then headed for class.

People surprised he was there.

But since class was getting ready to start the moment Peter arrived no one, not even his friends, could ask him any questions.

So they kept their mouths shut.

Until lunchtime arrived.

--------------------------------

A tray of food in his hands Peter walked through the lunchroom.

Looking for the table his friends were at.

Spottting, and Gwen waving him over, Peter started heading in their direction.

But as he did so Peter suddenly heard a strange buzzing sound inside of his head.

'What?' Peter thought.

As he tried to make sense of the buzzing sound.

Which he felt was telling him to avoid danger.

It didn't make any sense.

Until Peter got closer to a table where Flash and his friend group were sitting, and just as Peter got near Flash he stuck his foot out. Intending to trip him.

Though that didn't happen.

For Peter simply step over Flashes foot at the last second.

Avoiding a fall to the ground.

Shocking both Flash and Peter.

'Seriously, what just happened?' Peter asked himself.

Which he continued doing until he reached the table his friends were sitting at.

"Peter. Hey, you okay?" Harry asked.

His friends words knocking him out his thoughts.

"Hm, yeah. I'm fine Harry." Peter answered.

"Really. Because yesterday you looked like you were dying." Ned said. "I mean, you looked like you needed a hospital bad."

"Ned." Gwen spoke. Giving her friend a look.

"Okay. I got it." Ned replied.

Gwen nodded her head at this. She then turned her attention to Peter. "But seriously Peter, are you sure you're okay?"

"I am. Truly." Peter replied.

Well that's not exactly true.

But until Peter could figure out what was going on with him he didn't want to tell anyone.

He didn't want to worry them.

"Well okay. If you're sure." Gwen spoke.

"Yeah." Peter replied.

He then started eating his lunch, along with his friends.

Chatting and laughing like normal.

Until eventually they finished.

That's when Gwen and Peter decided to take the dirty trays for the entire table up to the deposit rack.

Each of them carrying two trays Peter and Gwen made their way across the lunch room.

That is until Flash used a straw to spit a spitball directly at Gwen's face.

Which hit her in her left cheek.

This caused Gwen to flinch, and cause the trays she was caring in her hands to fall to the floor.

But before they could reach it Peter, with a burst of speed, moved and managed to catch the trays Gwen was carrying. Balancing them both easily on one hand. While he balanced those he was carrying himself easily in his other hand.

Suprising Peter himself, Gwen, and everyone else in the cafeteria.

Especially Flash.

As whispers began Peter quickly moved and placed all the trays he was carrying on the deposit rack.

He then turned his attention to Gwen.

"Wow Peter. That was, amazing." She said.

"Yeah." Peter replied. "Anyway, are you okay?" He asked.

"Oh yeah. You know it was just Flash being Flash." Gwen said.

"Yeah, I know." Peter replied.

He then looks at Flash, laughing out of the corner of his right eye.

"And I think it's time someone did something about it." Peter spoke.

"Peter, what do you mean?" Gwen asked.

But Peter ignored her.

Instead he focused all his attention on Flash.

Turning in his direction Peter walked towards his table, ignoring Gwen speaking to him.

Eventually Peter arrived at his destination.

Which caused Flash, and everyone else at the table to look in his direction.

"What do you want, puny Parker?" Flash asked.

"That spitball of yours that hit Gwen in the face. Apologize for it, now." Peter demanded.

"Oh yeah, and whose going to make me?" Flashed asked. Standing up to his full height and leaning towards Peter.

But unlike all the other times he had confronted Flash Peter didn't flinch.

He stood his ground and looked him dead in the eye.

"Me." Peter replied.

Hearing this the entire cafeteria got quiet and turned their attention to Peter and Flash.

Then one random male student suddenly yelled.

"Fight!"

After that things got started.

Flash threw a punch towards Peter's face.

Which he easily dodged.

Suprising Flash.

But that surprise instantly disappeared and he threw another punch towards Peter.

Which he easily dodged again.

"What?" Flash muttered.

He then threw another punch at Peter, who dodged again.

Seeing this Flash's anger began to rise and he started throwing a flurry of punches at Peter.

Punches Peter dodged without any trouble at all.

Using speed, dexterity, and the strange buzzing sound in his head.

'This is amazing.' Peter thought.

Suddenly stepping back to avoid a kick aimed at his legs by Flash.

Which had the blonde jock twisintg like a spinning top.

When he dropped he growled at Peter. "Stay still!"

"How about no." Peter said. A smirk on his face.

This only enraged Flash even more.

Enough for him to run at Peter and attempt to tackle him.

Only for Peter to easily dodged.

He then punched Flash directly in his gut.

His punch sending him flying across the cafeteria until he landed right in front of the garbage cans.

Which tipped over and spilled on Flash when he crashed into them.

Covering him from head to toe in half eaten food and garbage.

Seeing this the cafeteria erupted into laughter.

While Peter put a victorious smile on his face.

"What is going on here?!"

That is until the principal entered the cafeteria.

When he did Peter knew he was likely about to get in trouble.

But he didn't care.

Since finally putting Flash in his place was worth it.
