Chapter 79: Iron Man
[September 8th, 2008]
Sitting in the living room of my apartment, I watched the news on my 50 inch plasma screen.
Which was showing the return of Tony to the world at large.
Things having gone exactly like they did in the original MCU.
Of course I could've prevented it mind you, but I didn't for several reasons.
Namely because without going through that entire ordeal Tony wouldn't have the man is he going to be. He also wouldn't have become Iron Man.
But the world needs him.
Not to mention Tony came out better for it in the end.
So that's all I have to say about the matter.
Except for one last thing.
If I save the ass of other heroes, or potential heroes, all the time they'll never grow and come into their own. And I'm not a babysitter.
Okay, now I'm done.
As I continued watching the news I listened intently as Tony has one of hisany defining moments.
"Effective immediately Stark Industries will halt the production and sell of any and all weapons." He spoke.
This sent the reporters present in a frenzy.
While Obidiah Stane looked like someone had just bitch slapped him across the face.

"Serves you right Iron Monger." I said.
Karma is a bitch.
After Tony made his announcement in regards to his company he walked away from the podium and off the stage.
When he did I changed the channel to reruns of Farscape.
Since I had nothing pressing that needed my attention at the moment.
Emma was already set to buy up Stark Industries stock the moment its price began to plummet on the market, and until Tony made his official debut as Iron Man I am not going to contact him.
So all that's left for me at the moment is to relax and just chill.
A task I am an expert at.

[September 13th, 2008]
Lying my head on Emma gorgeous thighs, since she is giving me a lap pillow at the moment, the two of us were enjoying ourselves watching Babylon Five.
That is until I got a call from ADAM on my earpiece.
"Excuse the interruption Roman, but I wanted to inform you and Emma that Tony Stark has just finished taking out several terrorists in Afghanistan using his new built armor." He explained.
"Thank you for the update ADAM." I spoke.
"Yes, much thanks." Emma added.
"You both are most welcome." ADAM replied. Signing off afterwards.
Huh, so not more than a week has passed since Tony's return than he chose to build the Mark I armor and do the whole hero thing.
All I can is, that was off.
But I don't have a problem with fast. At least where this situation is concerned.
"So, shall I prepare the jet to take us to Malibu?" Emma asked.
"No need. I'll simply go there by myself." I quickly replied. "Sentinel can handle this one by himself my dear."
"Yes honey." Emma replied.
We then went back to Babylon Five in comfortable silence.
While I made a quick plan to help out Iron Man.

[September 15th, 2008]
(3rd Person: POV)
Getting punched through the wall of Stark Industries, in his Mark I armor, Tony found himself crashing into the ground.

As this happened Obidiah Stane, in his Iron Monger Armor, jumped out of the hole after Tony.

"Haha, is that all you've got Tony." Stane spoke through his armor speakers.
Stepping closer and closer to Tony.
Who was pushing himself back to his feet.
Deciding not to answer Stane Tony lifted his palms in his direction and two fired two repulsor beams.
Only for Stane to raise up his own two hands and fire off repulsor beams to counter Tony's.
The beams hit each other and then battled for supremacy, until eventually Stane's won out.
Overpowering Tony's repulsor blasts Stane's pushed Tony back and hit him. Sending him flying into a busy LA highway street.
As Tony crashed into the ground he began skidding, stunning all the people who were in their cars witnessing the event.
Meanwhile Stane flew towards him using the repulsors installed in the Iron Monger Armor feet.
Upon reaching Tony Stane landed on the ground in front of him.
But before he could do anything else Roman, as Sentinel of course, flew towards him and hit Stane directly in the chest with a left punch.
He having just arrived on scene using a portal he created using Blinks powers.
High up in the air, so no one would see his arrival mind you.
Sure Roman could've arrived earlier, but he always wanted to try making a cool superhero entrance, and save, at least once in his life.
And now that he has Roman he can say with certainty it was an event he will never forget.
Moving on.
Stane crashed into the ground due to Romans' punch.
But he quickly picked himself up.
However before Stane could do anything else Roman uses his telepathy to stop him in his tracks.
Sending Stane into a happy telepathic illusion Roman stopped the Iron Monger in his tracks.
Once this was done he used his telekinesis to rip the Iron Monger suit surrounding Stane apart.
Roman then forced him to sleep using telepathy.
Ending the battle easily.
Just as this happens Tony arrived by his side and pointed his two hands repulsors in his direction.
Roman sighed. "Really Iron Man, this is the way you treat me after I just saved your ass?" He questioned. Turning to face Tony. "Instead of pointing your beam hands at me you should be thanking me. Unless you were enjoying getting your ass handed to you by Stane? I mean I'm not one to kink shame, but a battle in the streets isn't really the place to fulfill your masochistic desires."
"Wha-Fuck you!" Tony suddenly spoke.
"Sorry, I'm afraid I don't swing that way and am in a happy relationship at the moment." Roman said. Putting a smirk on his face afterwards.
"You...I can't." Tony muttered.
Roman having rendered him speechless.
"Okay. All jokes aside, let's take this to a different location." Roman spoke in utter seriousness.
"Right." Tony agreed.
The two of them then moved out of the city streets, and stared making their way back to Stark Industries.
Roman carrying both the unconscious Stane, and fne disassembled Iron Monger Armor, along with him.
Since he'll be damned if he just leaves either Stane or his armor lying on the streets.
That could lead to headaches he didn't want to deal with.
Thus Roman dragged Stane along for a ride.
In no time at all the pair made it back to Stark Industries.
Where Coulson, several of his fellow SHIELD agents, and Pepper Potts were waiting.

As Tony, Roman, and their luggage, landed Pepper ran up to Tony and wrapped him in a tight hug.
Just as Tony's face plate came up.
"Oh, okay. This is happening." Tony muttered.
Returning Peppers hug in kind.
"Should we give you two some alone time?" Roman asked.
Which caused both Pepper and Tony to look on his direction. Getting light blushes on their faces.
"Sentinel man, not cool." Tony spoke.
"Sure, sure Stark. Nice armor by the way." Sentinel spoke.
He then turned his attention to Coulson and fne SHIELD agents. "Oh, and who might you all be?"
"Phillip J. Coulson Sentinel. I work for the government and I have to say, it's a pleasure to meet you." Coulson spoke.
"Nice to meet you too agent Coulson. Also, I know we just met but here's a gift." Roman spoke.
He then used his telekinesis to lay Stane directly at the SHIELD agents feet.
But not before killing him but using Susan Storms powers to create a mini force field in Obidiah's brain. Which would make it look like the man died of a sudden brain aneurysm.
Since Stane was too dangerous to be left alive.
Besides he died in the original film anyway so Roman was just keeping with the canon.
"Thank you Sentinel." Coulson spoke. "So, what about the armor?" He asked.
"Well since its based off Stark's designs and technology I think it should stay with him. Unless anyone has any objections?" Roman spoke.
No one objected.
"Alright." Roman said.
He then laid the armor at Starks feet using his telekinesis.
"Well now that that matters settled I think it's time I head out. Nice meeting you agent Coulson and you too Stark. Let's get together again soon." Roman spoke.
Then before anyone could respond he took off into the sky like a bullet.
Leaving Tony, Pepper, Coulson, and everyone else present stunned.
"Wow, Sentinel is quite something." A SHIELD agent spoke.
He has no idea how right he was.
