66 Chapter 65: Love

[September 20th, 2004]

As the centrifuge in front of me stopped spinning I removed the vials I had placed inside of it earlier

A smile on my face.

Since they were the cultimation of months of hard work.

The vials themselves held a serum I had created by isolating the healing factor mutation in Lauras' blood.

So now anyone who was injected with the serum would gain that cheat ability. Becoming immune to disease and poisons, able to heal from practically any wound, and get their aging process slowed to a snails pace.

Placing the vials, except for one, onto a rack I then went to place the rack in my labs medical fridge.

After I did I returned to the one vial I had left out on the table and then secured it's contents in a syringe.

Once I did so I then sat and waited.

Until Emma arrived.

When she did I swiveled in my chair and looked at her.

"I'm here Roman, so what's the matter you wish to discuss with me?" She asked. Reaching my position.

Picking up the syringe I held it in front of Emma's eyes.

"This syringe is filled a serum that will bestow one with the same healing factor as Laura. Meaning they will never get sick again, be immune to poison, recover from almost any injury, and slow down their aging process to s snails pace. I don't need it because I absorbed that power and already possess it. No, the reason I created this serum is for people like you. People that I care about. People that I love." I spoke.

Telling Emma I love her out loud for the very first time.

"So I am asking you to take this. And if you refuse that is entirely fine. It won't change how I-Mmf!!"

Emma suddenly interrupted my words, planting a hot and heavy kiss on my lips.

Not only that she projected her thoughts directly into my mind. Relating to me how much she cared for me.

Basically she is saying she loves me without actually saying the words.

Though she is doing it on a much deeper level.

Which makes me love her all the more.

I don't know how long we stayed kissing before we broke it.

But when we did I could feel a deeper connection between us than ever before.

I looked into her eyes and she looked into mine.

"So, I'll take that as a yes in you accepting the serum?" I asked.

Earning me a punch in my right shoulder.

"Ass." Emma said.

"I know, it's one of my best qualities." I replied.

The two of us then shared a laugh.

Then after it was over I prepped Emma and injected the serum directly into her through her left arm.

As I cleaned up I noticed the small wound from the needle insertion close on its own.

Telling me the serum was already taking affect.

But just to be sure I gave Emma a small cut on her left hand and the wound instantly healed. Not even leaving a scar.

Confirming the serum truly did work.

"Good." I said like Sidious.

"My, releasing your inner Sith Lord are you?" Emma asked me.

When she did I looked at her in utter and complete shock.

"Oh don't look so surprised Roman. Even I have seen the Star Wars films at least once." She spoke.

Making me love Emma even more.

So much so I devoured her.

Which thanks to her new abilities allowed me to do so all night long.

Man, it's good to be me.

Sitting in my personal lab in the Command Center I played Kingdom Hearts II.

Since in this world if released earlier than in my previous life.

As I enjoyed myself I contemplated the past few months.

Nothing major had happen.

The company was good, as were my people and projects.

Starfire has been acclimating to Earth well.

ADAM has been teaching Danger about the world at large, and keeping an eye on her for me to make sure she doesn't go Skynet on our asses.

Several of my projects are progressing well.

Especially Project: Watchtower.

The relationship between Emma and I had never been stronger.

Though because of this Laura has been giving me some looks, and she's even tried her hand at flirting.

She's horrible at it mind you, but it's cute.

So it's safe to say she likes me.

Exactly what I wanted.

Yep, all is good.

No sooner after I thought that than ADAM contacted me.

"Roman, a fight between several individuals is taking place in New York. Right outside the Baxter Building."

"I see. Thank you." I spoke.

So the Fantastic Four are making their debut to the world.

I'm my mind this is the beginning of this world 's Age of Heroes.

Sure, I have been out there as Sentinel.

But I am just one man.

Now no longer.

"ADAM prepare my suit, I'm heading out to that battle." I spoke.

"It shall be done." ADAM replied.

As he did I saved my game before getting up and starting to prepare.

Since this is where everything begins.
