Chapter 13

They’d flown out early in the morning, with J.T. yawning in the pre-dawn darkness. He’d soon woken up, though, as they found their way through the security checkpoint and located the right gate. He wasn’t certain, but he thought Armand had traded in a first class ticket for two in coach. J.T. also wasn’t certain how much a first class ticket might cost, but he knew he owed Armand around three hundred dollars for the tiny seat by the window. They were both crammed into a space not much larger than one of those antique love seats Armand had drooled over in the historic houses. J.T. hadn’t really wanted the window seat, but Armand insisted, so he’d gone along with the idea.
