8 Episode 2-The Psychotic King (3)

We were nearing the Seattle Space Needle. If my prediction was correct, the two characters I needed to meet should be in this location. There was several schools around here, which would be the areas that Incarnations would need to take over to become kings. This is how the [King's Road Scenario] worked.

Flags would be planted at certain stations, and certain stations would have to fight each other. To have your group survive, you needed to take over your target station within a certain time limit. If you didn't, then your group would die. If the group attempted to fight for the Absolute Throne in the 4th scenario, then the king would be rejected from the scenario itself. The king could try to take over the target station with careful planning, but if they didn't have time, then their group would perish. That's what happened to Yu Junghyeok in a certain regression point. When he tried to take over Changsin Station, fight the Tyrant King and save Lee Seolhwa, Kim Namwoon perished. The reason was this: Kim Namwoon and Lee Hyungsung were wandering around and encountered a meteorite that contained a guide. Then, an outside species came and promptly killed them.

I didn't know which round of regression it was, but it was horrible. There was a chapter of it in TWSA, where Kim Namwoon and Lee Hyungsung were being eaten alive by an Outside Species. Only Lee Hyungsung survived. It was truly ironic, and somewhat funny. That meteorite actually belonged to a "guide" that would've helped everyone clear the scenarios and fight against the disasters. That guide taught "Way of the Wind," which belonged to some wolf species from a planet called "Chronos."

(That's why you can't let kids wander around,) I thought to myself. (But I'm truly a dumbass, for I'm f*king fifteen-years-old and doing it myself.)

I was currently wandering around alone. I didn't want to, but I had to train my stigmas.

[Stigma "Flames of Muspelheim" has been activated!]

I made sure to control the flames properly. Someone didn't need to know a lot about transcending or skill-breaking. There was multiple ways to transcend, and all of them were different. I remember reading one story, where a man named Jaehwan was stuck in a Tower called the "The Tower of Remorse."

They were stuck in that [Tower] for 30 years, and they began training with stabs, or thrusts as it was properly called when working with swords. He did it 10 billion times, until he became a stab itself. When Jaehwan broke free from the [Tower of Remorse] and entered <Chaos> they were a spirit so pure that no one couldn't help but marvel at. Then they got teleported to <Depth> where they had to become a god.

Anyways, it was a story filled with sweet potatoes. Right now, I was under tall skyscrapers that appeared ominous in their height. The smog was still high in the sky and ashes fell and choked the vegetation. I made sure that no one was around and began training. People were too focused on becoming too big, when they needed to go smaller. This was a paraphrase of Krygrios Rodgraim, a Transcendent of Peace-Land.

Within that small planet, he taught some guy in a white coat how to use his skills. That guy in the white coat promptly left and then killed the shadow of Constellation "Yamata no Orochi." They gained a [Legendary Fable] but also lost the attribute [King of No Killing.]

(That's what happens when you don't kill people,) I thought to myself. (Everyone thinks you're too old and weak, or too young and faint of heart.)

That's why people needed to go through anime-style training arcs, minus all the screaming. It's so that they could actually kill people without looking like an idiot.

[You are using the skill "Asian Condescension" Lv.7!]

This was a special skill that I acquired from thinking condescending thoughts. Whenever I condescended someone, I would be able to level up this skill. This skill would be perfect for fighting against Mathew McFarland. Once that happened, I would finally be free from his clutches. There was a boon of being a king; you have the power to penalize anyone in your group. That's what this guy did in the third round of regression. He was able to sign a contract with Gong Pildu's Constellation sponsor [Defense Master], and then have them do whatever they said. In the story, I think Gong Pildu survived to the end of the scenarios or not, but it didn't really matter.

I was in a precarious situation. If I wanted to win, then Mathew McFarland was my first target to become stronger. He thought he could be a viper that used others, but I could be one as well. I read too many books, and have too many stories to tell before I die.

(I also need to delay the South Korean scenarios as much as possible,) I thought. Right now, I only knew of one weapon that could destroy the Absolute Throne. That was the "Four Yin Demonic Beheading Sword." It was an S-grade item that was once a constellation artifact. If used under the proper conditions, then I could use it to sever the links from Constellations and Incarnations. In a story that I read, Jaehwan actually had a power called "link destroy" and "fall of time." I didn't know if those were the actual names, but it allowed an [Awakener] to cut connections from [Gods] and [Viceregents].

What would I be? An Awakener or a Reader? There was only one simple conclusion: neither. For I had a different skill in place that I bought for 8,000 coins on the Dokkaibi shop.

[Anhedonia Lv. 10 is in effect!]

With this skill, I wouldn't be able to feel pleasure, such as love, or hate, or anger.

[Wha t wai t no ee o d o nt yo f*c ku ng da re]

It was time for me to jump off a building. No matter what [Fragment of the 4th Wall] said.

[Constellation "Secretive Plotter" is wondering what you're doing.]

I spoke aloud: "I'm going to use a stigma to fly super high, then drop down to the earth below. If I die, then it's on me."

[Constellation "Secretive Plotter" is turning on his recording feature for a clip.]

[Constellation "Secretive Plotter" has stated: "Don't die."]

[Constellation "Secretive Plotter" has promised to sponsored 100 coins to "Ethan Nakamura" to not die.]

With my [Flame of Muspelheim] stigma, I used my legs to jump towards the sky. I deactivated the skill and began to fall downwards. I never believed in fate, but I prayed for good luck.
