Honeymoon Trip Cancelled

Before Jacob could continue Kevin cut the call abruptly and he gazed back at them like a demon from hell ready to consume everyone alive.

"Now, open your mouth! Where have you all been?" Kevin stared right at Anna. Both Jacob and Kevin has been worried to the core about the safety of Anna as there was a dagger always hanging above her head.

Anna stared back, after gulping the saliva heavily, she blurted out, "We got lost, We could not find the library block."

George and Naia eyed Anna coincidentally. Naia: 'Lost?! Girl! What are you talking about.'

Kevin let out an evil chuckle, "Lost?! You lot got lost! even with the direction board hanging everywhere on the campus. Ok, let's believe it is true. So?! does the searching party of four could not find the library block, till at the end of one hour?"

"Yeah" George voiced out.

Kevin patience was wearing thin, "Ok fine! I believe it is also true. Why did you all return to next hour after 20 minutes late? Tell me now, you again got lost?!"

Anna recapitulated the conversation, "No! No!! Actually, Aaliyah had a stomach ache after walking for too long."

Aaliyah straightened her back hearing her name being uttered and she immediately coped with the drama, she bent slightly acting as if she was still suffering from ache.

Jacob who was triggered by Kevin's outburst earlier drafted a text to send but he stopped by the twist and turns of their conversation. He was now waiting for their explanation before sending the text.

Kevin's eyes narrowed, "Now! It is a stomachache?! Hmm... Aaliyah... So, what happened to you?"

Aaliyah was so stunned for words. Understanding the circumstance, Naia tipped in, "Professor, It is just a cramp! You know, Ladies problem!" Naia let out an awkward grin.

Aaliyah instantly nodded confirming Naia statement. George was having a hard time maintaining his composure.

Kevin: "Okay! Did you take her to the doctor's room." Kevin cooperated with their shameless story. He already sent the search party to check cafeteria, restroom, doctor's room and all the places they can search for them.

'Doctor's room?!' Naia was stopped, she was bewildered by this question.

"Actually! we don't know where the doctor's room, so Anna and I went searching for the doctor's room while letting Naia take care of Aaliyah" George found a perfect excuse this time.

Kevin sighed out, 'Is there any point! Talking to these punks, they are so good at making up stories. If I haven't sent people to look for them, I even would have bought their stories'

"Did you find it. No, wait!" he leaned in front of George, "Let me guess! You didn't find it, right?"

George felt like his throat was tightened by a tight grip.

"Do I look like an idiot, do you think I would buy all your stories?" Kevin Shook his head and stepped back.

Anna's face was filled with worries, 'Oh it's all my fault, I led them to this situation. I should find a way to save them taking all the blames to myself.'

Anna raised her hand, "Professor! it's all my fault! they came to heed me, they have nothing to do with what happened today. It's my fault! My fault!!"

Anna's voice cracked a bit in the end, 'If it was not for me so bothered about my broken marriage finding a way to release my pain, they would not be here waiting for their punishment.'

Jacob's eyes zoomed to Anna's strained face, 'Why is she so upset', The 'Two words, 'MISS YOU'' that Anna who was scribbling in her note in the morning flashed past in his memories.

'That boy near her is not Shane. Did they breakup! That's why she was so upset in the morning?!'

His brain was so accumulated with lots of question. Jacob took his phone and clicked the 'send' button that he was holding for a while just to hear their conversation.

Kevin faced Anna, He let out a smirk like an old villain, "It is you?! Are you trying to protect your friends? forget about it. I'll mak... "

Before he could finish his sentence, a series of messages popped up in his phone disturbing the mad man plot to take revenge.

First message: "Honeymoon ticket booked to Fiji Islands was canceled."

Several expression flashed across Kevin's face but not even one expression suitable to look at. His tiny little heart broken into several fragments, 'He is a complete evil not even one percent considerate.'

The second message from Mrs. Kevin, "Why did you cancel the tickets? Answer me this instant."

'Oh no! My baby will kill me! It took six months to get these couple tickets. It is impossible to get tickets in a short period, how can I explain to my baby?' Kevin's soul was draining out, 'Never help your friends love, It is my heartfelt advice.'

The last Message was from Jacob: "Wind up the class, let them go. Maybe then, I'll think about fixing it."

Kevin's heart was drained out of any emotions, 'Forget about it! I am not a professor! I am not a lover! I am no one here! Why should I rack my brain? You man, you found your ditch, go jump in it, who cares?'
