5 Chapter 5: "There is no going back"

The sky was cloudy. Lucia and I were monitoring the entire situation from a caravan at our house on the beach. The zepellins did their job. They dropped several million dollars and people went crazy to collect all the bills they could. Then, I put on my Dalí costume and mask, sabotaged the screens of the buildings in the city center, and said the following:

"This message is for all those who feel this mask as a symbol of resistance. We need you. The State has declared war on us. A dirty war. And we have decided to stand up."

I took off my mask and revealed my identity to the world, continuing to say the following:

"The police have arrested one of ours in a foreign country. Robert Cortez. It has been more than two months since this. A judicial investigation has not been opened. His extradition has not been requested. He has not been provided with a lawyer. They are holding him captive, his whereabouts unknown, and in all probability, they are torturing him. So we demand that this illegal detention immediately end and that he be brought to justice with guarantees of law. The State has started this war, but we are not going to hide.

We are going to fight, blow by blow. And this time, we're going to steal big. "

That way, I finished the speech. Lucia and I held hands, we put our faces in front of each other, and we decided to start monitoring the heist.

8:30 in the morning:

The gang, first thing in the morning, started posing as street sweepers to plant bombs in the central part of the bank.

Then they went to our hideout where we had military vehicles that we would use to pose as soldiers.

After that, we took the army trucks and headed back to the bank, but this time there were already security people, who as expected, did not notice the bombs around the central part of the bank.

On the other hand, after my speech, most of the people decided to support us. They went to the central bank of the city and the protests began. They threw everything: water bottles, garbage, stones, among other things. I would have liked to be there and tell them that it was us: their heroes, their resistance.

9:00 in the morning

When we finished parking the trucks in the right place, the gang got out and started controlling the crowd.

Diego, like Freddy and Lucas (who were Diego's 2 friends) went to the central part of the bank saying the following:

- Sir, good morning - I said with my modified voice - the robbers are going to rob shortly. I need you to give my military authorization so they can enter. That way, we will evacuate the people inside quickly.

- All right, my lord. Now I will give the authorization to them.

After a few seconds of silence, the main watchman told them.

"They can come in," he said, raising his hand and placing it on his forehead.

We were bringing the army trucks into the bank, there we had 2 industrial furnaces, which would help us melt the gold.

When we finished with the trucks, I said to Liz:

- Liz, it's time. Let others know that they can now enter the bank.

So it was. Liz told the others, and they went into the bank.

When everyone was inside, I said to Diego:

- Diego, it's time.

And he listened to him and called the other bodyguards of the governor of the Bank:

- You heard! We seal the doors. Bank Governor Security Protocol, Now!

And that's how we managed to seal the doors of the bank, when everyone was already inside it, and it was at that precise moment that I said:
