Chapter 4 : To The Forest

I turned around and run

I could feel Raiden using the forbidden technique of the north domain, Life to Aura.

He rather chose to live shorter life for a quick wealth by capturing me instead of long life of hardship.

He's definitely crazy.

Seemed like the god had forced me to go to the forbidden forest.

Doom Gate and the forbidden forest was a few hundred miles away and it was only 2 days from Doom Gate, but I already had the forest and Dragon's Den in the distance in those 2 days.

I expected only a day to return as I would only focus on returning, ALAS.

Hopefully, the forest wasn't as dangerous as the legend said.

I left the group behind and Raul chased me while roaring to provoke me.

[STOP, you son o* a B****! You scared now?! A weakling like you are never a match to Catarina. HEY!!! TOADY!!] (Raul)

{Damn this ignorant toad. Calling others toad while he was the toadiest of all!}

Angered and needed to vent out some of it.

I slashed out a wind blade and kicked it toward the toad Raul while giving me the distance i lost doing so. The skill I had polished to escape, just in case I needed to.

My fast wind blade flew fast toward the toad that in the crouched and jumped like a toad to avoid the life threatening wind blade. The Ra-toad escaped the blade and lied on the ground, petrified from the fear of death.

My wind blade, of course not so weak and dispersed already, as it still flying toward Raiden that's about to complete Life to Aura.

On my little flight, I could see the 2 girls, Mimi and Mumu hid behind Raiden completely.

I landed and continued my escape toward the forest without turning to check the result from my wind blade collision with Raiden as I had known it would not be affecting him that much.

From the experience, the military provided my attack of that level would more or less decrease a minute of the caster life force while only delay a tenth of a second and I need a second to prepare and shoot the attack.

I could feel my wind blade dispersed from colliding to something which had to be Raiden as well as massive aura output from where Raiden was which meant his technique completion.

Raiden became about twice as strong as me. The power jump should be one of the reasons why north domain trying to dispose him. The general that came only able to rose his power by 1.8 times his original power and this Raiden guy that was already as strong as me now show a strength that needed at least 2 of me to fight off means this guy somehow perfected the technique to almost 2 times his original power. These aura users sure got quite the cheat. Why didn't he stay on the north domain or become part of military? He should be able to be a general with enough achievement or just directly appointed as one.

Caring nothing of his sudden power surge, I kept on running with him giving pressure indicating him getting nearer as the time ticked.

His pressure getting denser which meant he had catched up to me.

I turned around to slash the gale blade I formed to him. He was about to slash his own blue aura blade to me.

Our blades clashed.

As he was now stronger to me, I was a little overwhelmed. Raiden showed an indication of trying to push more to overpower me and so I took the chance by jumping a little bit enough to have thrown away from him.

I clasped my hands in front of my chest to start preparing my best wind magic, Gale Cannon, as I flew toward the forbidden forest behind me.

[You cursed traitor!] (Raiden)

Raiden finally noticed the advantage i took from him angered somehow cursed me as a traitor which was weird in many ways.

He stepped in to catch me.

Yet, unbeknown to the poor Raiden I just took advantage off. I had prepared my best trump card to deal him my best shot my enough to enter the forbidden forest vicinity, best case would be its entrance.

I jumped while raising my hands above my hand before throwing them in front if me again

[Haaaaa..... !!!]

GALE CANNON!

The wind elemental blast came from my hands pushing Raiden and me apart. Him farther from the forest and me toward the forest.

I kept pouring my magic power to my gale cannon as much as I could.

The results

Raiden blown back to the pursuing Raul and the 2 girls some distance behind him

Me, blown to the entrance of the forbidden forest.

He and I were both damaged to certain extend, with him in the more severe condition.

Raiden tattered as his technique forcefully deactivated from the damage and blow from my gale cannon. He became weaker from the backslash of the forceful deactivation from my full power gale cannon.

Life to Aura could last for a week but it needed a lot concentration and energy to do so. The technique sure was a good one as it increased basically everything excluding the defense power that got the big penalty of even decreasing. The general back then changed into offensive from his balanced style of fighting. His attack became his spear and shield at the same time which proven with he got more damage after using Life to Aura technique.

For me, I was feeling weak from exhausting my magic power near to depletion. I got enough magic power to sustain myself for normal movement until I got out from the harm way as I became quite weaker than I was.

The big guy was weaken to a tenth of his original power with exhaustion while me weaken to a fourth of my original with near exhaustion. That was worsened by the hot headed guy, that stupid Raul whose power was around a third of our original power.

I could fight him on par for some time even with my weaken state but only for some time. As I would get exhausted and weaken even more that might lead to my own death.

So I could only believe the voice on my dream in the past that once saved me from oblivion and go into the forest.

I was already at the entrance of the forest while they were standing outside the boundary of the danger zone of the forest which about 500 meters away.

So I dragged myself to enter the forest as the spiky head roared again and again as he started to chase me into the forest.

[Come back here and accept your fate, you scoundrel!] (Raul)

I just ignored the froaking frog behind me and entered the forest.

[STOP, YOU BASTARD FROG!!!] (Raul)

A frog calling others frog. That had to be the first.

[Come and face this master right here, right now!] (Raul)

I pretended nothing made a sound and looked around the serene infamous forbidden forest.

A forest like many other forests. Pretty much the same like many forests except it got more riches around untouched.

The serene moment broke as the group behind me made quite a ruckus.

[NO... Raul-sama!!!] (Girl A voice)

[Please don't! Lord Raul!] (Girl B voice)

[Uoooooo.... I have to finish that bastard myself!] (Raul)

*swoosh* * baam* *swish*

A big ruckus happened behind me that was enough to make me curious and turn around to check what happened.

Those voices of worry got to be the two girls. The sound of whipping and some kind of whip-like thing cutting the air as well as the ground breaking sound were the one made me curious the most.

As I turned around, I saw vines or maybe roots or I should say both were there running amok as if trying to separate the group and trying to swallow the frog whole.

That frog kept on running toward me while I stood from inside the forest as if I was watching a play on play. He was busy running to catch up to me while roaring, *cough* I mean, froaking to me.

[Come to me you lazy bum! You dead frog!] (Raul)

His vocabulary sure was so limited, he had been saying frog frog frog and frog even when I was taking the test. But, I still ignore him as I just stood there watching as I start to regenerate my used up magic power.

Way slower than I could do though, since I got a play in front of me. A play played by a cattle rushing to sleeping lion while not noticing the fact.

He passed half of the distance between us while still being chased by the vines and roots behind him.

Those had to be forest's. Why was I safe?

The thought as if a trigger spell that jinxed it.

It came. I felt weak all of the sudden before noticing a slime had got me without even me noticing.

It sucked my remaining magic powers and strength before it engulfed me in one go and dragged me deeper into the forest.

I could hear part of the frog maniac Raul last froak

[Don't you run! Don't you dare to die yet! I wil. .....] (Raul)

A passerby would think he was being nice or trying to be nice.

BUT

I believe he was trying to say something like this

"Don't you run. Don't you dare to die yet. I will be the one killing you." or something like that.

I lost my consciousness before he was able to complete his last words as I believed I heard him screaming when I was losing consciousness.

A loud enough scream yet not loud enough to drag me back from being unconscious.

After who knows how long

I wake up and here I am

In front of you, forced to story telling about my journey from Doom Gate as interesting as I can.

Now, I had done and completed my part of bargain. Mind telling me what in the world is all of these about.]
