Vampire Outcast (4)

Jeffrey was no longer in the mood to watch the couple. His concentration was exhausted trying to find a way out of the book.

He felt so upset with himself, he still had no idea about the origin of the strange book, why it disappeared or who gave it to him.

After using his new ability twice, he let his guard down. Jeffrey was not necessarily paranoid but he was one of the careful ones out there.

'Did I trigger something by mistake? I never should have read with the mood I was in, can I even read a book normally these days?' he had his brows furrowed as he pondered upon the thought.

Unfortunately or fortunately because he was lost in thought, he missed the hot night the couple shared.

The comic although interesting lost its feeling since Jeffrey remained stuck inside it.

Trevor continue to d to grow stronger while laying low to not alert the elders, he had even learned about the blood ritual they were using him for and the date was just three days away. They were really being desperate.

During those days, Larka finally introduced Trevor to her mom who was shocked that her daughter was dating an outcast.

Trevor was able to learn why they were called outcasts and the story...well was not as great as he hoped. Being an outcast wasn't a good thing to begin with but the story had shocked him.

The first vampire outcast was a female from the Ercklon clan. Honestly, Trevor had never heard of them but it was just his ignorance.

The Ercklon clan gave birth to the different families today yet not many still remember them or they were just trying to forget.

Vampires do not give birth like humans, some might only be able to give birth to one child throughout their lifetime or a maximum of five...BUT vampires do not bear twins, it had neither been seen nor heard about.

Diana was the only daughter of a higher elder and despite being betrothed she had an affair with a subclass. The elders found out too late and by then she was already pregnant.

That was when the weird part of the story started. She gave birth to twins...well not exactly twins but her kid had an alter-ego. It was as crazy as it could get but as her daughter kept growing, she had unfathomable strength and she ate human food.

At first, others thought it was just a bad habit she picked up but a vampire surviving two months without blood was in no way normal.

Things went out of hand when she killed an elder by mistake because of a slice of cake. The vampires started taking her seriously then but it was too late already, she had grown too strong.

When all hope seemed lost, Diana was forced to step in she convinced her daughter to go and even had to break ties with her causing hatred between them.

She always wanted to go back to revenge on the vampire but she hesitated until she went into slumber.

"Does being an outcast guarantee you'll give birth to an outcast?" Trevor asked.

"Not really, me having my daughter is just a one-time thing" Larka's mother replied.

"One more thing, you never mentioned her name"

Larka nodded at her mother before stepping forward then she bit her finger before writing on the table with her blood.

Trevor was about to say something but was stopped by her mom's stretched palm. "Don't say the name just read it and register it in your mind"

Trevor nodded before turning to what Larka had written. 'CALL'

'What the...her name is call?' he raised his head to Larka who nodded.

Even Jeffrey was forced to acknowledge the weirdness of the situation.

"Why are you telling me this anyway" Trevor was a bit confused.

"Because you have to summon her"

"What?!!" Trevor stood up in shock, he lost every bit of cool he had left.

"Calm down Trevor," Larka said softly, trying to calm him.

"Why would I summon a crazy person?"

"She's not crazy"

"She killed someone because of a cake!"

"That is what we heard and besides you don't have a choice in this" Larka's mother said with a stern look.

"Why not?"

"Only she can save you from the ritual in fact she has to save all of us. You have three different types of blood running through you and you're still alive even though we have two" she said again.

"Doesn't that mean I'm different from you as well, how would she be able to help then" Trevor wanted nothing to do with Call. Her description had been crazy enough to scare him.

Seeing the way he was behaving, Larla and her mom could only sigh.

"If my guess is correct then your elders are trying to create another vampire. She is the strongest vampire alive so she can stop them before it is too late or you won't even have time to regret your actions. Unless they're very sure, they wouldn't have even let you smell a whiff of the ritual"

"They are gonna turn you into a puppet monster or worse. The Pirrns are dangerous, they always have been and we're still not sure what they're doing with your blood"

The words of Larka's mom kept resounding inside Trevor's mind as he made his way back to the Pirrn mansion.

'She said just her name and a lot of blood can summon her but I'm not sure if I'm just a vampire outcast anymore'

The next day was the ritual and Jeffrey anticipated it for a different reason. He had a feeling that would be the end of the comic he could finally go back to laying on his bed.

He hated to admit it but he missed home, Wex, his parents, and maybe even Moon and he had no idea how long had passed outside. The new ability was dangerous, he kept reminding himself.
