He then went downstairs after brushing, saying he was famished was an understatement. His stomach was growling so loud that he was about to go deaf. The last adventure had toned down his temperament a bit and now instead of looking like someone with facial paralysis. He looked better, like someone who had facial paralysis but is learning to show emotions.

The kitchen was unnecessarily far today and after reaching there the sight of his uncle wearing an apron entered his eyes. Wasting no time turned around but unfortunately, his uncle had already seen him.

"Oh Sun, you're finally down, your mom said she'll be out of town. You refused to wake up, what is that? Got us all worried little brat. Oh your girlfriend came to on you, said she won't go to school too"

Jeffrey did not react to what he said even though he was a bit curious about who he said his girlfriend was.

'I bet my money on May' but then he frowned. 'Phil is influencing my way of speech?'

"Lad, are you feeling bad," his uncle said, feeling a bit remorseful.

"We are living in a modern world, can you please stop speaking like you're stumbling on your tongue" Jeffrey's eyes widened after what he said and an awkward silence lingered in the kitchen.

"Please ignore what I just said, I don't what's wrong with me," He said again before serving some of the pancakes that his uncle seemed to be frying.

few hours later, Jeffrey was sitting on his bed while in thought.

'Is this a side effect of this ability?' he couldn't understand anything and that feeling left a bitter taste in his mouth.

The entire day, he noticed he was not his usual self like she was under the influence or something. Moon even beat him up today for saying she has figure 11. It was meant to be a joke but she took it the wrong way and he ended up being scolded heavily.

He picked up his phone and decided to Philip, he seemed like the only one he could share his problem with.

*Ring* *Ring*

"Sup Jeff, what's up?" Philip's voice sounded from the phone.

"Nothing is up right now, everything is upside-down" Jeffrey replied with a grim expression.

Meanwhile, Philip checked his phone again just to be sure it wasn't the wrong number. He could think of several replies Jeffrey would reply under normal circumstances and what he just said was non of them.

"Are you fine?" he was genuinely worried because something strong enough to affect Jeffrey could not be considered a small problem.

"I'm not sure" Jeffrey sighed dejectedly. He was experiencing different waves of emotions he couldn't even comprehend. "When are you coming again?"

"Saturday and I got the weekend planned"

"Are you sleeping over?"

"Yeah, my dad is on a major trip so I got the weekend to myself..."

Before Philip could finish Jeffrey heard another voice.

"You promised I'll go with you" Serena's voice sounded from the other side of the phone. "Hey Jeff"

"Hello..." Jeffrey greeted.

"How did you get in my room?" Philip asked glaring at Serena.

"The door was wide open, duh" Serena rolled her eyes and the two started bickering.

Jeffrey sighed and hung up. He was very sure they wouldn't even notice it he wasn't on the like any longer.

'Arghhh' he groaned inwardly before focusing on Wex. "I feel like I'm about to die of boredom. What a wrong with me and how long will this last?"

Although the days were slow, they passed and Jeffrey was currently arranging his bag. The bell had just rung, signifying the end of school.

His new character or maybe characters had yet to wear off and he had even been called to the principal's office twice this week.

It was always random, two days ago he had offered to give May a piggyback ride home. The poor girl was so freaked out she refused to talk to him throughout the next day. Only Evie did not seem to mind his impromptu change.

Still, the person most affected by these changes was Jeffrey himself. He felt like a prisoner in his own body and in the few moments he regains the ability to control his actions, he starts referring to all he had done that he had no control over.

"Are you okay now or are you gonna go ahead and go creepy on me again?" May ask cautiously.

"I a tux enjoyed my one day of peace a lot" Jeffrey replied before ignoring her.

"Are you two done yet, Jude isn't coming today so I'm walking with you guys" Evi said.

"For reals, that's great, and don't worry we'll drop you off first" May giggled while clapping her hands together and then they both waited for Jeffrey to be done arranging his things.

"Okay I'm done, let's go?"

May and Evie nodded before following him out but after stepping outside the school gate Jeffrey was surprised to meet Philip and Serena waiting for him.

"Jeffrey!" Philip waved, assuming a cool stance with his left hand still in his pocket. He was wearing black skinny jeans and a white shirt with a dark blue leather jacket on top. His jacket and sneakers both match his hair color and he was giving off a weird vibe that Jeffrey couldn't understand.

Jeffrey's eyes then darted to Serena who was equally dressed in the same fashion but looking feminine. "What...?"

"Don't ask, you don't wanna know" Philip immediately said after noticing Jeffrey's weird gaze but he stood frozen after his eyes landed on Evie.

With his mouth agape, he turned to Jeffrey for an explanation who merely rolled his eyes. Serena was also stunned but unlike her brother, she decided to ask directly.

"Aren't you Evie, as in John Lake's daughter?"

"Yeah, I am" Evie replied solemnly.

Detecting the awkwardness in the air Serena turned to her brother who shrugged.

May didn't just stand by and watch this happen. One week was enough for her to understand Evie even if it was just a bit.

Evie might seem complicated at first glance but she was someone who just wanted to be noticed as herself and not because of her dad. That was the reason why she left the entertainment dimension in the first place so Serena's question had touched a sore spot.
