"Aren't you leaving a review?"

"Why would I do that?" Jeffrey asked.

"Do you have to be so picky, the book is great, support the author at least"

"You leave a review," Jeffrey said before avoiding him and going past the door, making Philip run after him.

"How about this, if I leave a review you'll leave one as well"

Jeffrey thought for a second before he opened his mouth. "If you can get your dad to write a positive review, I'll write one as well, deal?"

Like someone who stepped in poop, Philip's expression became terrible but he still sucked him a cold breath and shook Jeffrey's arm to solidify their deal.

He didn't know if his dad was going to actually do it but there was no harm in trying so he made up his mind and followed Jeffrey downstairs.

The next day, Jeffrey was reading some entertainment news on his phone when suddenly Philip slammed his palm on his table.

"What?" Jeffrey frowned, he certainly didn't appreciate being disturbed in that manner.

"It's done now fulfill your part of the deal," Philip said with a serious expression.

Jeffrey stared at his friend for a good moment and then sighed. "What are you even talking about?"

"I got my dad's review now fulfill your part of the bargain"

"How did you even manage that?" Jeffrey asked, genuinely surprised.

"Let's just say I sacrificed a lot. I like the novel and after looking around yesterday, I saw it had a comic adaptation with sick art. I almost didn't sleep last night, I'm already at episode seventeen" Philip said before sitting beside Jeffrey.

Jeffrey could only helplessly sigh as he entered webnovel and since Pure Assassin was already included in his library, he didn't have to go searching for it again and just went to 'about this book'.

After checking the reviews he saw Philip's dad's review:

[Eugene Ryder ★★★★

The main character has a nice story too and the plot seems to be on point. Although the author lacks enough vocabulary to make the book more powerful, his message is sent across nicely. A good book if I may say so myself]

"This must have cost you an arm and a leg" Jeffrey smiled.

"You have no idea, that review was edited eleven times" Philip groaned.

"At least he gave a four star...but I'm confused how is your father in level 14"

"Of course, he reads webnovel. How would I have convinced him otherwise and this is his first review"

Jeffrey nodded in understanding and then started writing his review.

Few minutes later, he got a call from Caroline.

"Does Eugene's review have anything to do with you?" Caroline's excited voice came from the phone.

"It's nice to hear from you as well" Jeffrey replied sarcastically, not answering her question.

"Come on, can I post it?"

"Suit yourself" Jeffrey shrugged and then heard a cheer before the phone hang up.

He then turned back to Philip who was winking at him continuously. "If you have an itch, use an eyedrop, stop being weird"

Philip stared at Jeffrey speechless, how could he not understand the meaning of that wink?

"What are your plans for today?" Jeffrey asked.

"I wanted us to go to the movies and watch 'Mecha Story' but I think Pure Assassin is way cooler...but tomorrow where going somewhere amazing"

"What about your sister?" Jeffrey asked.

"What about her, she's attracted by your sister now so just leave it that way" Philip shrugged pointing at Serena who was sitting beside Moon blabbering away. "I haven't had this much peace in a long time"

Watching Philip sigh in contentment Jeffery shook his head. At least he never had such problems with moon and even if he did he always had the upper hand.

His thinking process was interrupted by a knock on the door. Without being asked, Philip stood up and went to get the door but before the could open it, the door was opened forcefully, hitting his nose.

While he was groaning in pain May walked inside with hurried steps.

"I'm fine thank you!!" Philip shouted sarcastically, thankfully there was no bleeding but seeing the way May ignored him made him pissed.

"Jeffrey, you're here sitting down?" May asked.

"This is my house" Jeffrey replied furrowing his brows. He hated being part of a drama and May's sudden appearance had caused a bit of commotion drawing Serena and Moon's attention.

"Why are you never online? don't you know you're trending?"

"What is going on here?" Moon asked, walking towards them. She wasn't really interested before but after she heard trending her ears perked up.

"I don't know I just came online a saw everyone talking about Twin-Lantern" May responded glaring at Jeffrey.

"You do realize I have no idea what you're talking about... right?" Jeffrey asked with a deadpan expression.

Moon's expression differed greatly, she stared at her brother in shock. As she and Little-Chibi were rivals, when they weren't at each other's throats, they were always following each other's moves.

So last week when Little-Chibi made a post about Twin-Lantern helping her make her book better she tried to find out who he or she was but to no avail.

The reason for her excessive reaction was that few moments ago, Little-Chibi posted a screenshot of Eugene Ryder and Twin-Lantern's review of a novel. She knew Eugene Ryder was a big shot and since she had no idea who Twin-Lantern was, she wasn't really bothered but after finding out the mystery guy was her brother, things changed.

"You're Twin-Lantern?" Moon asked still in her shocked state.

"Yes and so?" Jeffrey was starting to get confused not to mention Serena and Philip who were still messaging his nose.

"You...you admit it?" Moon stuttered in fury.

"As much as this amazes me I can't waste my time trying to figure out what is wrong with the both of you," Jeffrey said fed up.

"You know Chibi is my rival, why are you helping her?!!"

"How is that my business? Look, firstly you're responsible for who you chose to be rivals with, you should not include me in such childishness. Secondly, what I did was give my opinion on her book and she took it"

When Jeffrey was done, Moon was speechless, she had no words to refute him and even if she did, she didn't want to prove him right by acting childish in front of May and the others after all she still had an image to uphold.
