"The butler will lead you both to the ballroom," said Giselle with a shaky voice.

She wedged her way between the two imposing titans in the foyer, hoping to stall for time until help arrived.

Duke Greystone appeared and saw all the commotion. He prepared to help Lord Alexsander pry Christopher and Dante apart if need be.

"Good evening, gentlemen," said the Duke, removing his mantel and handing it to the butler.

"Squabbling will not make for a merry girl." Pierce's striking violet-blue eyes looked above everyone's heads to the second-floor balcony, and they followed his gaze.
