Ava looked at Melissa and said, "Mom, can you come with me to the Houston beach villa and bring grandma and dad with you?"

Melissa looked back and asked, "Did something happen?"

Ava shook her head and said, "I told you about my research, right?"

Melissa nodded. Ava continued, "I have completed it. I've made a genetic serum that can increase human lifespan, immunity to fight any disease, and provide peak human strength."

Melissa's eyes widened hearing all this, as she asked, "You're not joking, are you?"

Ava shook her head and said, "Have I ever lied to you about my research or inventions?"

Melissa replied, "Never." Ava said, "Then."

Melissa put her hand on Ava's and said, "Do you know the world might come after you if they find out what you have created?"

Ava nodded and removed Melissa's hand, saying, "I know, that's why I want to get injected before anything happens."

Melissa sighed and asked, "How many people know about it?"

Ava replied, "Nobody, only you know about it," as Ava didn't want her mother to know about John and her plan.

Melissa nodded and said, "Okay, I will inform them about it, but be careful, sweetie," as Melissa patted Ava's shoulder.

After Claire got home, Haley went to her room and sat on the bed. As she put her hands in her pocket, she realized her iPod wasn't there. Haley looked around, then remembered she had left it on the table in the hall because Lily had spilled water on her pants.

Haley went downstairs and noticed the iPod was not there. She looked at Alex and asked, "Did you see an old iPod on the table?" Alex shook her head and said, "No, but mom might know."

Haley walked into the kitchen and saw Claire wearing headphones attached to her iPod.

-5 minutes before-

After Claire got home, she noticed an old iPod. She picked it up and remembered that her old iPod had been broken by Luke while he was experimenting to see if it would break after falling from the first floor. Claire saw that the iPod was on and looked at the three songs in it. She felt puzzled because she had never heard the names of these songs before, so she put the headphones on and started playing the second song.

Claire thought, "Whoa, this is hitting me hard. How have I never heard this before? I can't believe I've been missing out on this masterpiece all this time."

Claire fell into thought but suddenly felt someone tapping on her shoulder. Startled, she let her iPod fall to the floor. As Claire turned, she saw Haley looking at her with a glare, eyeing the iPod. Claire didn't know what happened to Haley, but she still asked, seeing Haley looking at the iPod, "Is that yours?"

Haley shouted angrily, "Yes, it's mine," as she picked up the iPod and saw the screen had gone blank. She looked at Claire again and shouted, "Look what you did, now it's blank."

Claire tried to calm Haley by saying she would allow her to go on summer vacation with Ava's family after talking with Phil. But she still had to fix the iPod. She told Phil to repair it, and he said he would get it repaired the next day.

Haley calmed down, and by the end of the day, she was happy that her dad allowed her to spend summer vacation with Ava.

The next day, Phil took the iPod to the Apple service center, got it repaired, and then gave it back to Haley. As Haley was going to her room, Claire stopped her and asked, "Haley, do you know the name of the song on your iPod? I tried to search for it, but I couldn't find it."

Phil looked at her and asked in amusement, "You like a song on Haley's iPod?"

Claire smiled and said, "You should listen to it too; you will also like it."

Phil asked, "Really?" As he saw Haley trying to run upstairs silently, he said, "Haley, your mom is asking you something."

Haley rubbed the back of her head and said, "Well, they are not available online."

Claire asked, a little confused, "What do you mean they are not available online?"

Haley fell into a dilemma, thinking whether she should tell about Ava being the singer of those songs or not.

Phil snapped his fingers near Haley's face, saying, "Hey, what happened? What are you thinking so deeply about? Your mom is asking you something, buddy."

Haley snapped out of her thoughts and saw Claire waiting for her answer. She said, "Well, they are the songs my friend recorded, and she gave them to me for review as she is going to upload them online in the near future."

Claire was surprised by Haley's answer and said, "You have such a talented friend."

Haley replied sarcastically, "Why can't I have a talented friend? You met Dylan, right? He is a good singer too."

Claire's mouth twitched hearing Haley say Dylan was a good singer. But the person who sang those songs on the iPod was really talented.

Phil looked at Claire and asked, "Is the song on that iPod the same as Dylan's song?"

Claire shook her head and said, "You should listen first," as she turned to Haley and continued, "Can you connect the iPod to the speaker? Your father wants to hear it."

Haley sighed and said, "Okay."
