Chapter 60: Mission Accomplished

The Church's three-piece exorcism set:

Recitation of scriptures.

Purification and expulsion, sprinkling holy water on the victim.

Torture, pressuring the demon to reveal its true name, using one's own faith and God's edicts to forcefully drive the demon back to hell or enslave it through some means.

These simple steps have sustained the Church for over a thousand years and prove highly effective against demons.

Of course, the effectiveness largely depends on the individual's power of faith. For York, this manifests as his spiritual power.

York isn't entirely sure, but he suspects that this so-called power of faith or holy power is linked to the system's spiritual power.

"AAAAAHHHHH!!!"

With the descent of the holy energy, Prima on the bed began to howl in pain.

Without worrying about how high his spiritual power is, the tenfold quality of enchantment is enough to hurt the demon within.

York remained calm, continuing to recite scriptures while watching Prima struggle and scream in agony. This was the first part of the traditional Church exorcism trio.

Then there was the second part.

If one is going to show off, one should go all out. As the holy energy filled the room, York, watching the floating Bible, waved his hand again, and his magic power flowed.

Under Mr. Welber's watch, the bottle of holy water floated out of the backpack just like the Bible, hovering above the bed.

York stopped reciting, enchanting with his magic.

He looked at the struggling Prima and whispered softly.

"Exorcio (Exorcism)."

This attack spell caused a burst of white light above, which hit the bottle of holy water as directed by York.

With a pop, the bottle shattered, and the holy water poured down on Prima, whose struggles had lessened. It was like oil hitting fire, and she instantly started smoking, screaming in pain, rolling even more violently than before.

"I won't forget this day!"

"Well, you've got a lot to remember then."

York was indifferent, chuckling at the sight of Prima, who looked as if she was burning.

"Pal, do you want to go back yourself, or shall I send you?"

As he spoke, the last bottle of holy water floated out of his backpack, hovering above Prima.

Prima, amid her rolls, suddenly yelled at York.

"Go away!"

A gust of wind arose, but York effortlessly dissipated it with a slap of his hand. The demon's current strength was too weak to warrant using magic.

"Pal, honestly, you should just obey. It's only going to get worse. There's a saying in the East, 'Ignore the advice of elders and suffer the consequences.' I really don't want to torment you and ruin our relationship."

Prima was furious, and despite her pain, she yelled at York.

"You think...! Who... has feelings for you!"

"You're wrong! It's not what you think, it's what I think! We have a connection!"

Saying this, York used his will to prepare to break the holy water bottle above, ready to torture her a bit more before proceeding with the third step of the exorcism trio: forcing the demon to reveal its true name.

"…In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit…"

Sensing the energy fluctuation, Prima's pupils contracted and she yelled.

"Stop!"

York's lips twitched slightly. "Pal, you finally agree with me? Too bad... it's too late. I've thought it over and the only way we can be true friends is if I know your real name."

As he finished speaking, the magic power burst the last bottle of holy water.

Instantly, the water poured down over Prima, covering her completely.

"Damn humans!"

Prima, already in great discomfort, began to suffer even more, her body smoking and screaming, writhing in agony.

"Damn it!"

York's expression remained unchanged, and the Bible in front of him automatically turned pages, using this holy energy to press the demon.

"In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit! Demon! I command thee, state thy name! Come!"

His words echoed in the room, and a massive amount of holy energy gathered, enveloping Prima.

For a moment, Prima's pupils returned to their original color, profound and mysterious.

"In the name of the Lord Jesus! I command thee! Submit to my Lord! Submit to our Creator! Demon! In the name of my Lord! I command thee to state your name!"

"I... AAAAAHHH!!!"

The demon, tortured by this immense holy energy and forced to reveal its true name, tried to resist. Prima's pupils rapidly changed back to the demon's control.

"Stop! Human! I propose a deal!"

York paused, intrigued.

"What deal could be better than knowing your true name?"

"Satan!"

Prima, her grey eyes fixed on the unchanging York, roared with a beastly tone.

"Satan!!!"

York pursed his lips, just staring at Prima, his eyes narrowing slightly.

"He's looking for you!!! York Johan!!!"

York's expression remained the same, but inside, he felt a sinking sensation. His magic power surged, and he waved his hand dismissively.

[Twenty points of magic used] "Be gone!"

With the twenty points of magic enhancing the holy energy, York's words carried righteousness and truth.

"Roar!"

Prima arched up suddenly, resembling a cooked shrimp. In her roar, her eyelids slowly closed over her restored eyes, and she collapsed without further movement.

The room fell silent, the evil presence dissipating like a wave escaping the house.

Robert, waiting outside, seemed to sense something and instinctively looked towards the wind-blown curtains below.

"Father York?"

Seeing her motionless daughter, the old man looked cautiously at York.

"Is Prima... alright?"

"Yes, it's over."

York, expressionless, pulled out his cross and pressed it to Prima's forehead.

As the cross touched her skin, Prima suddenly opened her eyes, dazedly looking at the priest looming over her, her eyes tearful.

"Father..."

She remembered what had just happened.

York smiled gently.

"The Lord be with you, Miss Prima."

"Prima!!! Prima!!!" Mr. Welber, who had been waiting at the door, rushed to the bed.

"Dad…"

Prima weakly greeted, showing a frail expression.

"My God!"

Mr. Welber held his daughter's hand, his eyes also brimming with tears.

"God bless!"

York's smile remained, he put away his cross, stepped back to give the father and daughter a moment, and without drawing attention, quietly picked up his backpack and walked towards the door...
