The Dark Mages Have Pushed Their Luck

Amaya In Another World (Am I in another world?)

Both Atsuya and The masked man fought over the course of twenty minutes.

Boom! Smash.Smash Smash.

Most of the building was already destroyed and the face off was happening outside now. If this was a one on one fight, Atsuya would be winning. However, this couldn't be counted as a one on one due to the fact that multiple serpents were coming out the masked man's back.

They were fast and kept regrowing each time they were destroyed.

'They already bit me too many times, I could feel the poison taking effect.' Atsuya thought to himself.

The masked man Stood, making fun of Atsuya's stop to attacks.

"Getting tired already? Even when you're aware of my presence, you still have a hard time against me. You're running out of time to stop me. In a matter of 25 minutes, your heart will stop."

[You have activated 'Limit Break' x 10]

"That's all the time I need." Atsuya stated.

Fwsh.

He quickly jumped behind the man and slammed his fist into his back .

Bam!

But he wasn't going to end there. Mid -air he grabbed his opponent and slammed him into the ground.

Smash!

Atsuya then swung his fist many times, continuously bashing the man with his fist. Over and over and over.

Bam! BAm! Bam! Bam! Bam!

He only stopped for a brief second and saw that the man was wearing a wicked grin as his yellow eyes shined.

'You think this is funny??!!' Atsuya thought to himself in a fit of rage.

He lifted his fist one last time and began to swing it downwards.

Fwsh!! BZZZZ!

Before he even struck his enemy, a sudden impact of magic blasted into his chest, launching him back.

BZZZZZ!

His muscles felt burned as an electric feeling made him quiver. Atsuya tried to get up but couldn't get any further than his knees.

"You...just had to interfere…" he said while glaring at Kuro who was sitting up against the wall.

The masked man got back to his feet and patted the dust off his red cloak.

Pat. Pat. Pat.

"You are certainly strong. But as long as I still have my serpents, I will take no damage from attacks."

All the snakes on his back merged together and detached from him, becoming a single giant snake.

The man ordered for the snake to finish Atsuya off. And so, it sprung forward.

"Skyman Technique Thirty-Seven: Instant Long Slash."

Slash!

A ripple of wind shot against the snake's skin, cutting it apart and killing it.

The masked man almost backed up in surprise. He knew very well who had shown up.

"I am Akemi Skyman. Legendary-ranked adventurer. This will be your final resting place, dark mages."

The masked man began taking steps back, making his way over to Kuro.

"Hmm. We didn't expect you. Is your brother, Ace Skyman on his way as well?"

Akemi shook her head.

"He's overseas, dealing with bigger threats. If he were here, he'd handle you two easily without any help."

The man grabbed a hold of Kuro's collar, replying "Yeah, I believe you. I'd love to talk more, but We're not feeling up to dying today. This is goodbye...for now."

Spssshhhhh

A cloud of smoke filled the area all around.

"Skyman Technique Forty-two: Spilling Slash!"

Akemi lifted her sword and swung it through the air, sending a powerful gust of wind forward.

Slash.

The smoke was wiped away in an instant.

"So it's that trick."

"Yeah, they got away." said Atsuya.

The trick they were referring to was a trick used by assassins to escape. Beforehand, they would use magic to connect a smoke bomb to a certain place. So once it's used, any living thing in the smoke within the first 2 seconds would be teleported to that certain location.

"There's no doubt. All the recent troubles are a result of the dark mages."

Amaya with her eyes covered, finished up her phase of counting.

"18...19...20...ready or not, here I come."

As soon as she uncovered her eyes, she almost immediately heard a rattle come from behind a nearby bush. Instead of checking the bush first, Amaya played dumb and checked behing a tree first.

"You here….or are you over here…" She then checked behind another tree.

Then another. Finally, Amaya checked behind the bush.

"Gotcha."

Emi nearly jumped back in surprise.

"Wahhh?? You found me already? You're so good at this game, Amaya."

"Well, I do have above average hearing."

"Okay okay. My turn to count."

Emi covered her eyes as Amaya quickly stepped away and hid behind a tree.

"One...two….three… four… five….six...seven...eight….nine…."

Amaya listened and waited for Emi to count past number nine but, there was only silence. So, she peeked out to remind Emi of the numbers, thinking maybe she had forgotten what comes next.

"Ummm. Emi? The next number it te-"

Emi was no longer in the spot where she once was.

It was almost as if she vanished completely. In an effort to find her, Amaya checked behind as many trees as she could, all while calling out to her.

Still, there was nothing.

Swsh Swsh Swsh. Swsh.

Mnya masked figures came out from the trees and surrounded Amaya in an instant. There was no need to ask questions, she knew whatever happened to Emi, these strange people were responsible.

"What did you guys do to her?" Amaya asked in a tone that showed she was in no mood to play.

One of the figures stepped forward and spoke with a feminine voice.

"Ohhh, she's fine. We just took her away. You see, Amaya…."

Another one of the figures stepped forward and spoke in a masucline voice.

"We have taken a great interest in you. We will hold onto your little daughter or whatnot for the time being."

The man stated that in due time, a messenger would be sent out to Amaya, revealing a location for a meeting with one of the leaders of the Dark Mages. He always said in a reassuring voice "Your little daughter will be safe. It's just a way to make sure you come meet with us."

Amaya didn't care about the reason, all she knew was that the dark mages were dangerous people and couldn't be truest, especially with taking care of Emi.

"No, bring her back now."

"I'm afraid we cannot do that. That's not in our orders." said the masculine figure.

Amaya's face darkened like a shadow and her eyes turned completely white.

['Rage 2' has activated]

The feminine figure seemed to be amused and joyfully spoke.

"YEsss!!! I love your attitude! You would fit in with the other short-tembered members. This is why you would be so great if you were to join u-"

A dagger appeared into Amaya's hand and in that same instant, she dashed forward, slicing the feminine figure apart.

Fwsh Slash.

As the woman fell into two peices, Amaya's presence nearly shook the air.

"I hate to kill… but you guys really pushed your luck."

The masuline figure then gave an order to the others, telling them to retreat as fighting wasn't in their orders.

Slash. Slash Slash

As they began to sprint off, Amaya was able to cut down four of them before the rest escaped from sight.

Filled with rage, Amaya couldn't think of anything more than simply killing anything such as the dark mages.

"Oh...Oh….Oh….now they've really done it. I hate to show this die of me...but…"

Amaya's face was the absolute definition of fear.

She then heard a groan coming from one of the surviving figures on the floor.

She glared at the dark mage and without hesitation, she stomped on their head, popping it like a balloon filled with red liquids.

Stomp! Splatter
