Chapter 48

Blood dripped from Elizabeth's arm as she struggled to pull back her bowstring with her two remaining fingers on her hand. Warm tears feel from her eyes as she watched the monster with long black hair stood over her son. She could see his tears had run dry from his lifeless eyes. He had a horrified look stuck on his face from when he watched his own untimely demise.

"My baby. I'm so sorry." she said as her voice was dripping in sorrow and shame. She watched as the monster jerk at his body as it took another bite.

"Ma.....Ma.." A familiar voice called for Elizabeth.

A shiver rain down Elizabeth's spine as she froze for a moment. Her body began to shudder and fear began to full consume her as she was afraid to face her daughter.

"Don't turn around. Don't turn around. Don't turn around. Don't turn around. Don't turn around," Elizabeth told herself in desperation. Yet, her body moved as if it had a mind of its on. Her heart began to beat rapidly as she took her eyes off of one monster consuming her son to see what has happened to her daughter.

Elizabeth's entire body went numb as the bow she carried dropped from her hand. The bow snapped into at the same time her hands covered her mouth in horror and shock. Tears began to feel her eyes again as she stared into her daughter's fading eyes.

"Ma...ma." Martha's last words escaped her mouth like air hissing from a pop bottle. The life in her hazel eyes finally going out when they met her mom's look.

A long bone hand engulfed Martha's head as a wolf like creature raised it's head from Martha's torso. Flesh could be heard being pulled and snapping as the creature took a chunk out of her. Elizabeth watched in silence as the creature smacked and swallowed part of her daughter.

As she let out a gasp, Elizabeth watched as the creature snapped its attention to her. She noticed that the creature's face looked like the skull of a wolf with deer like antlers protruding from the top of it's head. It's bottomless green eyes pierced through Elizabeth's soul like a knife. It suddenly began to stand on it's skinny digitigrade legs, and turn to face her. While still holding Martha's lifeless body, it slowly began to make it's way towards Elizabeth.

Elizabeth's body began to take a step back, and bump straight into something behind her. She quickly spun around to see the monster with black hair. She watched as the creature face became more visible. This brought even more tears to her eyes. It was Amay in her true form with blood like tears in her eyes.

"You abandoned me. You left me alone for 150 years. I can never forgive you for this. I trust you," Amay said as she held onto Elizabeth. Blood surrounded her mouth as she was the one eating Lucas.

"No..No..No," Elizabeth said as she tried to push this Amay off of her. She could feel the creature behind her get closer. Her body began to violently shake from Amay rocking her. She watched in horror as her friend's eyes became black holes with tar coming from them and slowly consume her and Amay.

Elizabeth's eyes immediately shot open as she screamed for her life. She finally stopped as she started to breathe heavily. Her body was drenched with sweat as she realized it was a very bad dream. Her body jumped as she felt a soft but rough hand on her shoulder.

"It's okay," The voice told her in a concerned tone. She pulled her hand back unsure on why her mother jumped. "Are you alright, Mama?" Martha asked her worriedly.

Elizabeth slowly calmed down as she heard her daughter's voice. Her yellowish-orange eyes met Martha's hazel, and slowly went back to her normal color. She let out a sigh. "It was just a nightmare. A really bad one at that." She said feeling a little relieved.

"Oh," Martha said as she nervously looked at her mother and the condition she was in. "Are you alright?"

A soft smile curved Elizabeth's lip as she looked up at Martha's worried face. She removed her cover to find that she was just in some black panties, and sat on the edge of the bed. While looking at Martha, she opened her arms inviting her daughter in for a hug. She then watched as Martha knelt down and openly hugged her. She could feel Martha's heart racing as her body was slightly shaking.

"I'm sorry I worried you sweetie," Elizabeth told her as she slowly started to stroke Martha's hair. She could feel Martha slowly relax as she tighten her grip a little. "You're still my big baby."she thought to herself. Her dream did make her worry a little, but at the moment this is what she needed.

After their hug, Elizabeth had jumped into the shower from the night before. As she got out of the shower and wrapped herself in a towel, she made her way into the kitchen to find something for her slight hungover.

"So what's next to be done, sweetheart. Taking down Thanx, and then handing him over didn't take as long as I thought, so we still have some free time before we head back." Elizabeth explained while making herself a cup of orange juice.

Martha had her back to Elizabeth as she looked at TV. "We still have to take a trip to Japan to pick up the gift you are having made for Amay. Then we have to head to the forest to make sure that Bigfoot still remembers the plan." she said while chewing on a chew lemon drop.

"Ah. Is that still the one we have to put his finger back on?" Elizabeth asks.

"Yes ma'am." Martha answered while biting hard on a harder piece. She remembered how annoying she got from him playing games.

"That's good. How long do we have before we need to pack up and leave?" Elizabeth asked while taking a sip of her juice.

"It depends." Martha's said turning back to look at her mom. "When do you want too?"

"Hmmm," Elizabeth let out while scratching her head. "I really do hate New York, and the last thing I want to do is run into one of the Dumonts, especially Francis. Or George." She said making a pouting a little. "I still owe their old man a black eye," she mumbled a little.

"Understood. I will call the airport to prepare our jet then," Martha said as she reached over to grab her phone. As she began to dial in the number she heard Elizabeth stop her.

"Hang on. I'll do it." Elizabeth told her. "You already done enough. Just let me get change and we will go from there."she said while washing out her glasses. She did a small stretch as she gracefully walked towards her room and dropping her towel.

Martha just turned back around and continued to snack on her lemon heads. She was glad they were leaving the city. It always messed with her sense of small and hearing. "I'll call the car around then."

2:05 pm

The sound of heels clicking on the tiled pavement field the hotel room as Elizabeth lead the way. She was wearing black jeans with a solid red backless tank top on. She had her former wedding ring on a silver thin chain around her neck, and even allowed her hair to flow downwards it in it's beauty.

"Hi there," Elizabeth said to the young man behind the checkout desk. "Checking out for the day. Elizabeth Homes."

"Hello and let me get that done for you." The receptionist said with a smile. He began to type on his computer, then looked back at Elizabeth and Martha. "You're already good."

Elizabeth looked at him puzzled for a moment, and turned her attention to Martha. She too looked up at her confused. "Um. What do you mean by 'already good' ?" She quickly asked him to clarify.

"I meant your hotel bill has been paid for already. In fact, they even took care of you valet as well." He said looking at her to see if there was a problem. "Is everything alright?"

"Yes. Everything is fine." Elizabeth quickly realized who it might be. "Would it be possible to tell me who paid for it, so I can kindly return the favor later on." she said giving the young man a smile as she secretly gritted her teeth.

Martha just looked on with curiosity, but smelled a familiar scent filled her nose. "Jasmine and the breeze from the sea?" Martha though to herself. She quickly turned around to see where it was coming from. Her eyes went wide as she saw someone she hadn't seen in a long time. Her magical energy began rise as she didn't take her eyes off of them.

"Why not turn around and thank me yourself, Harmana Beth," A woman with a thick spanish accent spoke up spoke up from behind Elizabeth.

The voice caused Elizabeth to go silent, and started to chuckle as she knew exactly who voice it was. "I should have known it was you. That would explain why Martha is raising her energy as if she's wanting to fight you." She said turning fully around to address her guest.

A bronzed sun kissed woman with black straight/semi-curvy hair that was pushed to the right side of her head that swirled together at the ends, stood leaning against one of the hotel pillars. She was wearing black tight pants that had six straps around her legs, her left side having four while her right held two, that went down to her boots. She had a white fitted button-up shirt that frilled around her neck and chest, and black harness suspender that hugged her waist and part of her ample bosom. Her sleeves were rolled up and allowed for her trible tattoo on her left arm to be seen.

"How have you been, Maria?" Elizabeth said placing a hand on Martha's head. She did this as a way of telling her to stand down, while she walked towards their guest.

"Another day as always, Harmana. And it's Henrietta." She said as she began to walk to meet Elizabeth half way. "I see you've gotten stronger as well, Loba salvaje." she said smiling at Martha. "Paps said you were in town, so Mama told me to meet you." She spoke with her accent as she came to a stop.

Elizabeth giggled slightly as she too came to a stop only inches from Henrietta. They were close enough that their chest could almost touch. As they stood toe to toe, anyone could tell that Henrietta had a slight height advantage over Elizabeth. Martha could feel the power leaking off of the two even though her mom's power was greater she knew her cousin wasn't anything laughable. Both women looked as if they were waiting on the other to make the first move, but Elizabeth was the first to speak.

"Where's my hug, niece?" Elizabeth said giving her a big smile as she was so happy to see her. She watched as her niece bronze skin slightly darken from embarrassment, before she starting laughing her.

"Oh, Harmana." Henrietta spoke in her native tongue as she gave Elizabeth her hug. "I've missed you so much. You know I'm almost as old as you." She said as her light blue eyes looked towards her aunt.

"That might be, but I'm still older by a lot," Elizabeth told her jokingly. "I would have let you know, but I'm on a tight schedule at the moment."

"Do you at least have time to grab a quick bite? I know this amazing restaurant that you must try." Henrietta said with her accent becoming more pronounced with excitement.

"Well," Elizabeth said as food did sound tempting. She then turned her attention to Martha.

"Please, Harmana. It would be my treat." She said giving Elizabeth puppy dog eyes with her light blue eyes. "Bastante Por Favor."

Elizabeth tried to look away but found Martha giving her the same eyes. Elizabeth couldn't help but sigh and chuckle a little. "Fine. Fine."she said giving in to the girl's request. She then felt Henrietta hug her tightly.

"Gracias Gracias Hermana. No Te Arrepentirías," Henrietta said slipping fully into her native tongue. She then gave Martha a wink for helping her out.

Martha just nodded as a smile found its way to her face. She knew sooner or later they will have their rematch and she would show her how strong she became.
