1 Chapter 1: Are you really going to arrest me officer?

"Are you really going to arrest me, officer?" She asked him looking at the handsome six-foot-tall man beside her with her light brown eyes, she raised her leg and put on his lap in broad daylight of crowded cafe. A waitress comes with two creams coloured mugs of coffee one latte and the other black, looking at the girl who was no older than twenty-five years and the man was might be the around the early thirties, the dummy waitress fidgets awkwardly at the bold action of the 'couple' as least that is what the waitress thought.

"Amara! This is not your New York, this is Delhi!" He hissed and glared down at her with dark black eyes but she was unfazed by his anger or tightening of his jaw. He pushed her leg down forcefully.

"No need to tell me I am in India but you didn't answer me, are you really going to arrest?" She gave him a coy smile and wrapped her ringed fingers around the mug handle, while her other hand was cuffed to the steel leg of the table.

"Trust me, Amara, you are not going to get out of this. Two days, give me two days and you will be behind the bars," He warned.

"I always use to love the way you talk, you were always so intense but boring in the choice of coffee, black sugarfree seriously?" She chuckled and sipped her latte.

"Don't forget I know you, you are used to bluff out of things I won't let you escape," He said arrogantly.

"Of course I can't escape, the best Indian CBI agent have finally caught me and cuffed me in a crowded cafe, poor me, The wanted criminal," She pouted mockingly.

He stayed silent.

"You know what? Satya," She called him by his name this time and this time she was not mocking a challenging look got to build in her eyes.

"If you really could have put me behind the bars I would be in the Headquarters of CBI bureau by now but you are waiting...waiting for proof that I did it all. You people are searching for my hotel room as we speak, you are the bluffing one, not me. You use to get me out of trouble but I guess...things changed,"

"You did a criminal offence," He answered, while he looks straight not looking at her at all. Amara for second admired his lean profile. Oh! he uses to be every girl fantasy even in high school but inside he was always a soldier and she was complete opposite creating trouble seeking thrill it runs in her veins. He, Satya Chandrawanshi, with his handsome lean but muscular body structure with pale ivory skin square jaw cleaned shave and black intense eyes never made her heartbeat skipped beside he was four years older but somehow they made an unlikely friendship when she was in ninth grade. Eight years, she is looking at him after eight years and he still makes her feel safe even if he plans to put her behind bars.

"Why?" He asked suddenly.

"Why what?" She raised her eyebrow.

"Yes, you have a thing for rebelling but...why you did it? What happened to you? You were so innocent and smart," And 'beautiful' he thought. He shook his head internally the fact she became more beautiful after growing up, twenty-five, she is still young.

"Well my parents are really old school, they arranged my marriage as I turn eighteen. I gave birth to twins a year later and then my dear, smart doctor rich husband cheated on me two years ago and now I am all left alone with my twin children, a woman has to do things to survive" She pressed her lips and blink at him in this is 'obviously' kind of way
