I'm late. I have a study date with Chase and I'm running late. I shouldn't have taken that afternoon class, damnit. I run up to chase's door knocking. I fix my hair trying to look presentable. "Hey, come in." He says, smiling at me. I force a smile walking in. "I'm sorry I'm late I had a coding class that I really needed to take." I explain.

"It's fine, really. Follow me I have a few things I can show you." He says, leading me to his computer room. I look around his dorm a little. Tidy with a few decorations and pictures. "This is where I do all my coding." He says, turning to me. "This is incredible." I say, taken aback by all of the screens on the wall. Some show camera footage. "Are these cameras around the city?" I ask, seeing a street I recognize on the screen.

"Yeah, it is. The police trust me to keep an eye on things so here I am." He says, shrugging. "That's pretty cool." I reply, sitting beside him. "What class did you have to take?" He asks. "It was just on what I should look for when I'm hacking into things." I say, making it short. "Well, you should actually look for that message somewhere then click it and it should give you full access to anything." He explains, pointing at a message on the screen. "Really? Thanks a lot." I say, smiling at him slightly. I like him.

I just got out of my rehearsal and now I'm sprinting down my road to get to me and Ashe's dorm. I planned on playing a song for her on my saxophone. Now that I think about it, she mentioned a childhood best friend she had. I do remember having a childhood best friend also but there's no way we're connected. "Ashe?" I call out. "In here!" She says. I walk into her room seeing her tune a guitar. "You play guitar?" I ask, slightly shocked. "Yes I do actually. I play bass guitar in concert band." She confesses. "You're in band?!" I ask, sitting by her.

"I just joined like last week." She says, putting her guitar up. "Anyways, what's up?" She asks. "There's this song that crossed my mind and I want to play it for you." I say. "Go ahead." She says. I start playing the song. It's a song I always heard from my childhood and someone sang it to me all the time. I remember the melody perfectly so I played it well. I finish putting my sax back in the case.

"That was really good. It sounds kind of familiar though." I hear her say. I ignore her thinking it's nothing. "Thank you. Someone always sung that to me whenever I felt sad." I confess. I sit down by Ashe.

*Flashback*

"It's okay Amara, we'll meet each other again I promise. I'll even hum the song to you again. I'll find you again. I promise."

*Flashback ended*

"Amara?" Ashe says, waving her hand in front of my face. "I'm okay, sorry I zoned out. "It's ok. I was going to ask if you wanted to make dinner with me?" She asks, standing up. "Yeah, let me change clothes." I say, going to my room.

Who was that..? Her voice. The song. That same song. Her voice is familiar. I need to get my memory back. I look around my room. I spot my locket necklace on my drawer. It has a picture of me and a girl hugging and smiling at the camera.

That girl. I don't remember who she was but I've had this locket for years. I sigh throwing the locket on my bed as I walk out my room. I help Ashe finishes the dinner before we sat on the couch to watch a movie. "Hey Amara, there was this one spot where me and my kid best friend would go every time we hung out. It was a ice cream shop. We had a spot on the side of the building where we would talk." Ashe explains.

"That's adorable." I whisper. "I'm sure it's still in this area also." She adds. I nod, trying to remember anything about what Ashe described. I shake my head not being able to recall a memory. "I hope you find her, Ashe." I say, smiling up at her.
