The day I've been waiting for...

"Good morning sunshine wanna tell me what day it is today?" the loud cheery voice of my annoying friend came from the background.

"Go away Kelly," I groggily let out from under my blanket that was covering my face.

"I swear you're the only person in the world who sleeps in on the most important day of their life. it's your wedding day for heaven's sake," Kelly yelled and that seemed to have jolted me awake.

She's right it's the most important day of my life and also the happiest day of my life. it's a day I've been waiting for since I was like 7 or so.

I have a habit of waking up late, no matter how many times anyone tries to wake me up, but not today. today was a special day and I was going to break the habit of waking up by noon.

I was seated on my bed now, fully awake as the thought of standing at the altar while waiting for the priest to join us in holy matrimony made a wide smile spread itself across my face.

"Finally got you to wake up," Kelly exhaled an exasperated sigh.

I turned and flash her a wide smile and she couldn't resist as she smiled back at me, and we both gave each other a knowing look before I got up from the bed and we both held each other's arms and started to jump around, both squealing at the top of our lungs.

"I can't believe we finally get to actualize our dreams!" Kelly exclaimed referring to our lifelong dream of me getting married and her being my chief bridesmaid.

"Me too!" I exclaimed with a wide grin after we had stopped jumping around.

"Now, shuu, go take a long bath in your Jacuzzi that's filled with rose petals and enrich your dear soul with the rich flavours from the sacred flower of love," Kelly said like she was reciting some well-known poem.

We both burst into fits of laughter afterwards before I went into the bathroom.

Normally, I would remain in bed for a few minutes trying to wake up my senses, but today I was up the minute I realized it was the day I get to say I do with the love of my life.

While in the bathroom, I stripped off my clothes and got into the jacuzzi filled with scented soap water and tons of rose petals, and my body began to relax at the suiting feeling it provided.

I was getting married to my high school sweetheart, we had been together since 9th grade and we have never once broken up or felt like breaking up before.

We had the purest form of love that most people would think wasn't real.

Anton was the only guy I've ever dated, and now that we were getting married I could proudly say he's the only guy I'll ever date and that makes me so excited like a little girl in the middle of a wonderland.

I was in the bath for quite some time until Kelly walked in to tell me I need to come and start getting ready for my make-up.

I opened my eyes to see her wearing different clothing than what she had been wearing earlier when I first woke up and that made me wonder why she changed her clothes because it's not like she changed them into her chief bridesmaid dress.

She was wearing a floral printed summer dress that was just a little above her knee, with a pair of black wedges to match up to her dress.

Kelly walked into my spacious bathroom that I know I was going to miss because our new house doesn't own a large bathroom like my parents home.

She picked up my bathrobe that was hanging on the robe hanger in the middle of the bathroom, before walking over to me and holding it for me to put on.

I got up with my back to her and slid my hands into the robe, and then wrapped it over my body before getting out of the Jacuzzi.

"The make-up artist is here already, " Kelly informed me after I walked out of the bathroom.

"Did you help me change my shoes?" I asked remembering I needed silver shoes and not white but of the same design.

"Of course I did, why was I the bridesmaid again?"

"It's because I was /you were meant to serve me/you," we both said at the same time before cracking up.

There was never a dull moment with Kelly and me because we would make sure to bring fun to everywhere we find ourselves.

I applied my body lotion, put on my panties and bra which were set after Kelly had teased me for it a few times because I still had my V card intact and she knew how I would blush at every little mention of it.

When I was done putting on my undies, I went and sat in front of my dressing mirror where the makeup artist was going to apply my makeup for me and waited for Kelly to bring her in.

They both walked in and just before she would start to apply the make-up on my face, I realized something, I hadn't received any call from Aton since I woke up and that's very unusual, a frown made its way upon my face but then I instantly waved off the thought while thinking he was probably busy getting dressed also.

However, I still couldn't completely stop thinking about him and how I was missing him already because I hadn't seen him in days. After all, we had both agreed to meet at the altar just to spice up the excitement of seeing one another after a few days of not meeting.

"Here, you go," the make-up artist announced that she had finished applying my makeup. I looked up to see my reflection in the mirror and a wide grin spread itself across my face.

"Oh.. em gee, you look gorgeous Miranda!" kelly squealed from the door the moment she walked back in and I nod in agreement to what she said.

"Are you ready to get dressed yet?" the makeup artist asked and I wanted to say yes, but just before I would open my mouth, my parents both walked in and my mom couldn't contain her emotions as she immediately came over to hug me with tears streaming down her cheeks.

"You look so beautiful, baby, you're all grown up now," she said on between sobs.

"Stop it, honey, you're going to make her cry and ruin her make up now," my father scolded, but he was also on the verge of tears although he tried to hold it in.

After my parents were done hugging me they left for me to get dressed and the makeup artist and Kelly helped me get into my wedding dress, which I had been so excited to wear and when I had completely worn it, I looked at my self in the long mirror seeing the full length of my dress.

The dress was tightly fitted from waist up with long laced sleeves and then it opened up into a ball from the waist down. I looked like a freaking princess and that was what I wanted.

"This dress was designed to fit you alone," Kelly said in a drooling manner and we both laughed.

A knock sounded on the door of my room a few seconds later, followed by the shrill voice of one of the maids in the house.

"Good morning Miss Miranda, your parents said if you're done, you should come downstairs it's time to go to the church," the girl announced from behind the closed doors and I felt my heart skip a beat.

I don't know if it was because I was too excited, or if it was because I was scared that I wasn't ready or something, but I decided to take a deep breath in, and then out, before going out of the room, acting all prepared for what the day might bring, unknown to me that I could never prepare for what was about to happen.
