~May 3rd

There was an awkward silence.

It seemed everyone was waiting for the appropriate time to move on to the main will.

The bastard, Alexandra thought.

She stormed out angrily.

"Alexandra!" Fiona shouted.

The son of a bitch, Alex thought as she stormed out the lounge and made her way down the stairs.

She was cornered just as she reached the bottom by her half-brother.

She shot him a quick warning look. If he tried to stop her she would've decked him real quick.

"Stop this Alexandra! Stop it this instant." Her mother called as she kept moving.

She pushed a vase off in the hallway and relished in the sound of it crashing to the ground.

"Stop behaving like a child Alexandra and come back in so we can pay respect to your Grandfather." Her uncle rodan called.

She stopped just shy of another vase.

"Respect? He doesn't deserve it!!! You can call me a drama queen all you want but at least I have the decency to say what's really going on."

Some of her family had caught up now.

"Oh stop being a child Alexandra, you always have to cause a scene." Francesca rolled her eyes.

"Exactly, can you stop thinking about yourself for one second and be an adult for one fucking moment so we can get through this. Our Grandfather is dead." Jasmine finished her rant with a mock cry.

Her sisters begin to comfort her dapping their eyes with her hands.

Alexandra was beyond stunned.

She couldn't form words to the spectacle going on around her.

"On some level I had always known this family was dysfunctional but this is a whole new level of damaged."

"This isn't about paying our respects." She directed at her uncle and her Mother.

"Its about getting what you're entitled to, and I know Grandfather had more than half the shares of constantine empire, so let's just cut the crap okay."

Uncle rodan looked appalled and Fiona maintained an indifferent look.

"Alexandra I wished I had time for your tantrums but I don't today, so let's just go upstairs finish this and you can go back to living your sad artist life okay?" Fiona drew a breath as she rubbed small circles on both sides of her head.

Alex chose not to say anything, she turned around and kept on walking.

"Miss constantine, you have to be here or we have to postpone the reading of the will." Stephen said.

She ignored him and kept on walking.

"Alexandra! You need to learn to stop running away from things, you're no longer the jilted bride! Grow the fuck up." Francesca yelled.

Now she stopped, just for a few seconds to resist the urge to commit murder.

"Fiona do something, she's your daughter and I can't be here tomorrow." Uncle Rodan complained already frustrated.

"Not by choice." Fiona defended.

Alexandra wanted to run now, she was so used to feeling unwanted but hearing something like that from her mother nearly put her over the edge.

She made it to the side door of the Manor when she noticed Xavier.

"Please don't try to convince me to go-"

"Lex I'm not, I'm going to be late for a meeting and this family is already driving me crazy, I already told mother that we'll reconvene here later tonight, so I'll see you then." He kissed her on the cheek and headed straight for his car.

She knew Xavier and her weren't close, but he was the most normal family she was ever going to get.

And she could live with that.

"I'm just trying to say that she'll need a getaway driver!"

Colin groaned. "Your argument still makes no sense Thalia, and Alex, its been tough but I've almost gotten the name of the anonymous bidder from the london auction."

"Its okay guys I'm gonna be fine, I'm just going to get this over with." Alex chimed in.

By the time they got back to the estate manor she had been calmer than she was that afternoon.

There was now only one tiger piece from the Cerulean set and if she couldn't get it well she'd just have to tell her grandmother she tried.

She got to the living room and ignore the stares of her family as usual and this time she also ignored her mother.

With a slight nod towards Xavier she sat down on a small loveseat.

The tension was thick in the air as Stephen brought out a scanty looking binder.

Alexandra watched as skeptical looks were passed.

"I'm going to get right to the point. There isn't much on here."

Whispers took over the room. Uncle rodan spoke up.

"What do you mean Stephen?"

"This is the last will and testament of me, Rober-"

"Can we skip all the formalities Stephen?please?" Fiona said already impatient and anxious.

"Yes ofcourse. To my son Rodan, I leave my collection of antique cars in my Los Angeles bunker. To my daughter Fiona, I leave my art collection and your mother's jewelry collection with the Vacation house in the Maldives."

Fiona looked shocked. Was that everything? She thought.

"I appoint my grand daughter Alexandra as my executor."

Silence

Alex stared open-mouthed at the lawyer.

Executor?

Of all people to carry out his last wishes, he had to pick her?

She nearly laughed.

This was exactly like him.

"I direct my executor, to take over my Grande estate and all my properties to do with as she pleases. All my family should recieve one property from all my real estate around the world. My executor is in charge of assigning them as she sees fit."

"This is bullshit!" Francesca exclaimed. "Mother!"

Fiona maintained her composure. "Continue Stephen."

"My sixty percent shares of constantine enterprises go to my grand daughter Alexandra, pe-"

"I will contest this! How outrageous! Even from the dead he finds way to terrorize! That is my birthright!" Rodan threw his hands up in the air.

Alex was stunned. She sat staring at Stephen with a goofy smile on her face.

Wow...

Just wow...

Stephen cleared his throat and rodan moved to the back as he made a phone call, while Fiona poured herself a cup of rose'.

"This will is obviously doctored right?" Jasmine added.

"Why are we even here then?" A mistress asked.

"Does that mean our allowances are cut off?" A cousin asked.

"What did you do Alex." Salome glared at her.

She was still in too much shock to give a half decent answer

"Pending..." Stephen interjected with a loud voice effectively gaining the angry crowds attention.

"...she remains married to Theodore Dimitri xenon for at least a year or she'll forfeit ownership of everything and all her paintings past and future till she's 25...to my two kids, Fiona and Rodan."
