Epilogue

It's been two years since that day in the library. The day my heart was healed. Even now, when it should still be fresh in my mind, it seems like a distant memory. The hurt is gone. I have everything I shall ever want.

The bells ring as Cahalle and I leave the chapel. The cheers of a thousand voices ring nearly as loud. I can't wipe the smile off my face, and I don't want to. I am happy, I have peace of heart and mind, and I have a man I love, and who loves me. What more could I ask for?

{Later}

"I love you Cahalle, always, and only you." I say to him, repeating the words I said two years ago. He leans down and kisses me softly.

"And I you." He whispers quietly in my ear. I smile.

"Then prove it, shout it to the whole world." He leans down again, his cheek brushing mine as he whispers in my ear.

"I love you, Cecilia." This confuses me.

"Why did you whisper?"

"Because you are my world." I smile and wrap my arms around his neck. The music begins playing, and cahalle spins us out to the area cleared for dancing. Standing there, in the middle of the room, all eyes on us, he leans down and kisses me again. "I love you, my Queen" I smile.

It's safe to say, I have found my happily ever after. I think to myself, as Cahalle and I dance the night away.
