1 Chapter 1
As the sunlight brushed past her face, her eyes squeezed up, her body not wanting to get up from the bed, she forced herself up for the sole purpose of meeting her friends, who were like the warm rays of sunlight meeting the soft sunflower, making it brighter throughout the day.
As she put her feet down,sliding them on her flip flops, she grabbed her phone and checked the time.
5:43 am
"There is still pretty much time", she murmured to herself.
She pushed herself out from her bed and walked towards the bathroom. As her hand held the knob of the door to open it, a notification popped up on her phone.
She stopped on her way, checking the phone.

She pressed on the notification as it revealed the messages.
Yuna:-
Hey Jessie? You up?
Are you attending school today?

Yep, I will attend school today.
I just woke up.

I walked back to my bed, placing the phone on the bed, and headed towards the bathroom
I went inside the bathroom and got ready for school.

As I headed downstairs, I looked around the living room to search for my dad, but he wasn't there.
I checked the other rooms but he wasn't there. Relieved that he wasn't home yet, I decided to grab some breakfast, but as I walked towards the kitchen, I caught the glance of dad passed out on the kitchen table.
"I'm fine without breakfast"
, '' I whispered to myself and headed out as quietly and quickly as possible so I wouldn't wake him up.
As I almost reached the door, the wooden floor creaked. I stood there for a moment trying to catch any sound of him moving. But it was all quiet. As I finally closed the door, I let out a sigh of relief, as I took a deep breath and stepped on the road to finally head towards school.
I put on my earphones, and opened spotify.

"Drum go dum", I clicked on the song and slid the phone into the jacket as I continued to walk. A smile crept up my face as I lip synced the lyrics.
Music surely does make life amazing.
Finally reaching the school, I took off earphones, and put them inside the jacket as I walked into the crowd.
There was the sound of children talking everywhere.
"I hate this already. Same shit different day", I thought to myself as I walked inside the school.
As I reached the hallway, my eyes searched for Yuna.
I spotted a hand waving, and looked at the familiar figure standing there with a cheerful smile spread across her face.
I walked towards her as she opened her locker, grabbing some books.
"Jesicca", she said as she put her hand on my shoulder. "Hi Yuna," I smiled back.
My locker was right beside her. I grabbed the required books and we both left the hallway.
We chit-chatted along the way to my classroom and bid her goodbye as her classroom was a bit further away.
Entering the classroom I was greeted by the
loudest creature in the world.
"AYY JESSICAAA", Lucas ran up to me holding his hand up for a hifi.
I gave him a hifi. He was always filled with joy. He was like a ball of sunshine.
As he said so, he grabbed the attention of a few people for a couple of seconds. He looked around and mouthed a "sorry", before fixing his eyes on me.
"Did you submit your assignment?" He asked, resting himself on the chair.
"The one professor Thomas gave?", I asked, putting my bag down
"Yep, did you?", He asked.
"Yep, wasn't the due date yesterday?", I asked looking at him confused.
"Huh?", He said as fear filled his eyes.
"Wait, ISN'T THAT NEXT WEEK?", He raised his voice a bit, shocked and obviously scared since Prof. Thomas was pretty strict.
"Just kidding, it is next week!", I laughed. He was dumb founded. He jokingly hit my arm.
"Wanna jo-", before he could complete, we were interrupted by Prof.Thomas entering the class.
"Meet me after class.", Lucas whispered before we both fixed our attention to the board.
He turned towards the board and started the lecture.
