ALTERNIVERSE: Chapter six

With the sun absent from the sky, the moon slowly rising to take its place and the clock finally strikes eight in the afternoon, Shay and his crew begin grabbing the attention of the rambunctious group of convicts in the brewery. Though getting all eyes on them proves to be more difficult than they thought as the bunch of hardened criminals continued to get riled up. Rocklind only laughs, watching the crew try to take order of the situation at hand.

Bri catches Rocklind laughing to himself behind them and shoots him a nasty glare. "I'm sorry but what do you find so funny about this!?" 

"Oh, maybe the fact that you all hold the title of being a part of a group belonging to one of the most dangerous people on the planet yet you have no authority with others." Rocklind states still snickering to himself only angering Bri further as well as the others but Shay comes over to her, placing a hand on her shoulder.

"He's right, you have no authority with them cause they don't respect us. When it comes to the criminal underground, how does one attain such respect?" Bri's face turns from one of confusion to sadistic pleasure when hearing Shay speak. 

As the multiple conversations amongst the convicts continues, one person in particular feels his body tighten up as if he is unable to move. His arms drop straight down on his sides while his posture becomes fixed in a ninety degree angle. 

"Hey!! What's going on!? I can't move!!!" The man screams out just as his body is being slowly levitated off the ground as the rest of the crowd watch on.

Bri, still looking at Shay, slowly lifts her right hand higher and higher. "We get respect through fear." Bri clenches her hand into a fist and simultaneously crushing the bones in the man's arms and legs. The cry of a man in excruciating agony fills the brewery.

Shay gives nod of approval to his group before turning his back to the crowd and waving his hands. Instantly Melissa, Bri, Keyshawn, Lydia/Osiris and Hayden/Hyena jump into the crowd with Vernando slowing down time for the convicts making it near impossible to fight back as they are mercilessly beaten down. Alyssa, Nia and Mat stay back with Shay while they watch the chaos unfold.

Nia turns her gaze away from the bloodshed taking place in front of them. "Nia. Do not look away, this is the world you chose to be in when you said you'd come with us. Stuff like is bound to happen." Nia stays quiet as she takes a deep breath and looks back to the carnage.

A few moments go by of the crew brutally maming most of the convicts leaving Jose and a handful of others still standing. Nia goes around one by one healing them once they have their fill. 

As she makes her rounds to the convicts, Rocklind takes this as his opportunity to take the stage. Pulling back his sleeve to reveal a slimmer version of his hero suits gauntlet, it quickly transforms itself into a hover drone no bigger than Rocklinds hand. "Now that I'm successfully broadcasting to the degenerates that couldn't make it and you all had your fun I'd like to commence with the meeting. Now the reason why I all called you all here is the job opportunity of a lifetime. As you could already guess my compatriots here have been quite busy over the past couple months. That's all due to my instructions on a plan that will benefit all meta-kind. My company has all been running things behind the scenes and out of the public's eye. And now, with the information from Testaryx provided by Hyena, I've already seized control of that company and will be using their resources to further our plans."

Jose takes this time to raise a hand above the crowd, this causes Rocklind to point in his direction making everyone's eyes fall on him. "Sorry to interrupt but what exactly is the plan you have in mind?"

"That's on a need to know basis for those who choose to join us in our endeavors." Rock replies.

Jose lifts an eyebrowhearing the response. "So we have a choice, then?" 

This time Shay steps forward next to Rocklind. "Yes, you do have a choice. Either you agree to work with us or disagree and I'll kill you myself. So I really hope you choose wisely." The crowd peers around at each other but eventually turns back, nodding to Shay. "Good choice."

Rocklind claps twice getting the masses to agree to work under him. "Wonderful, even though I find Transmuter and his crew are capable it would be better to have an army as added muscle. With your help this world's twisted society that belittled the powerful, will fall and the heroes that have their dwindling faith in will die. The only left standing will be us but mainly me on top. Now let's get to work shall we."

Shay steps back once rock begins explaining his plot and stands next to the others with Mat on the lift and Keyshawn on the right. Mat leans in closely to Shays ear. "Are you really going to let him stand on top once everything is done?" He asks, whispers softly to not be heard.

Shay scoffs then smirks a bit. "Hell no but lets just let him continue to think that."

Meanwhile back at the Hero Organization of Lumer city, Jin and Phin wait patiently on the roof of the building for Mikayla to arrive while eating a hotdog.

"Amazing, even though it has such a peculiar name and design its taste is far beyond what I would expect. Is it really made of a dog?" Jin asks, taking another bite.

Phin laughs to himself and shakes his head.  "No it's just called that because it looks like a weiner dog." 

"So this delicious snack is named after a dog that resembles the scrotum of man?" Phin almost chokes, now laughing even harder than before. "You humans have a weird sense of titling your food."

Mikayla arrives with Nuclei after Jin and Phin finish their hotdogs. "Ok, Jin, just how do you plan on taking us to this realm of the gods anyways?" 

Jin reaches around back and pulls out an amulet with a seven pointed star crystal in it. "This amulet will take us back to Eclidza. Mortals aren't allowed there but we can make an exception for you Phin and for whatever you are." He says looking at Nuclei. With that Jin lifts the amulet above him and channels his godly energy into causing it to shine bright. Soon the four of them are enveloped by the warm aurora lights and as quickly as the light appears, it vanishes with them along with it.
