ALTERNIVERSE: chapter 2

Phin, Lumina and the other demigods watch as Mikayla displays the power of a dual demigod as she overpowers her sisters in the spar; torrents of water, mixed with shards of ice, overflow the training grounds. 

Lazuli, the Goddess of water, hits the ground rolling after being struck by a massive chunk of ice. Lazuli quickly recovers as she rolls onto her feet. Bringing her arms up to her sides then throws them out front, launching a two spiraling streams at Mikayla.

Mikayla jumps backto dodge the first one as it just barely hits her, landing on the ground she uses her ice to make trail for to slide on to avoid the second. Glacia, demigoddess of ice, is seen coming from above her with a truck sized chunk of ice. Mikayla counters by waving her arms in a that she ends up weaving the water from the ice trail around her like a barrier to block the blow.

"Impressive sister, your reaction time has improved significantly since the beginning." Glacia states as she puts more pressure on her ice. "Not titan level power yet, though."

"You want to see titan level power?" Mikaylas eyes begin glow blue and white, her aura begins to flare up. "I'll show you titan level power!" Soon a burst of power erupts from within the water barrier that blows Glacia back to the edge of the platform. 

When she picks herself up from the ground, Glacial, lazuli and the rest of the demigods watch as Mikayla rises up from the ground in a swirling tower of water as massive shards of ice orbit her like the rings of Saturn.

The enraged demigoddess lifts up her hands, cloaked in blue and white energy,  compressing the water and ice into a single point until becomes a orb of divine power the size of a house. "Is this what you wanted to see?"

Before the situation could escalate further a powerful twister forms between Mikayla and her sisters. Genova bursts from the twister, her eyes glowing a bright silver.

"I think that's enough for today, Mikayla." She says with a scowl. With those words spoken, Mikayla lowers herself to the ground while dispersing the channeled power safely. Genova meets her on the ground with Glacia and Lazuli next to them. "You indeed have titan level power but you can't let your anger get the best of you like that."

"I'm sorry, I guess a part of me is still coming to terms with everything." 

Genova places a hand on Mikayla's shoulder. "When you come to peace with the turmoil in your heart, you'll find a power greater than you know. But for now how about you take a break from training." Mikayla nods in agreement then the four of them make their way out of the training cove.

"Incredible…" Phin mutters to himself as he watches them leave. "So i'll be able to have power like that!?" 

Lumina shakes her head to him. "Your power will be far greater than a titan. Power to rival the gods themselves. And here is where you'll be taking the first steps to achieve that power."

Phin smiles in anticipation of ascending to godhood. "Where do we start?"

"We start by you understanding yourself or should i say Aether."

At the Hero base in Lumer city, Mr. Hall walks into a massive auditorium filled with the collective mass of all the herpes who could make it. Monitors with video calls were setup for the heroes who were too far out to make it in person. Mr. Hall walks up on stage, with a screen almost as wife as the stage behind him, in front of them as the room goes silent as they await what he has to say.

"So I got some good news and I got some bad news. Good news is that we have retrospect and the so called "true" cerberus in custody. Having the right hand man of Transmuter will definitely cause a blow to their operation. Though we still don't know what that is as of yet. Now for the bad news, not too long ago one of our secret bunkers was hit. Osiris and Rift Storm raided the base to capture the family of B.A.D. They succeeded in capturing his little sister and in the process critically injured electrified and currently still in the ICU." The screen behind him shows a picture of the girl. "As of right now, finding her is a high priority."

One of the heroes in the crowd raises his hand. "Why should we care about that traitors family!?" 

As he says the rest of the heroes present begin rallying up and agreeing with what was mentioned.

"When B.A.D came to me for help, he was at a low point. Somehow the info about his family was leaked and Transmuter himself came to threaten him by capturing his family." Says, Mr. Hall.

Daniel walks up on stage from the left side. "He's right, he was put in a position to either out his family in danger or keep them safe. And from what B.A.D told me, he wasn't the real mole in the organization because that mole is the one who leaked his family to Transmuter. He never wanted to betray us."

Pinpoint appears on stage standing next to Daniel. "So he did what he had to do, he still needs to be held accountable for his actions. Can't deny that." Daniel reluctantly shakes his head in agreement. "I also want to bring up that Aqua, that water thing, the So called demigod and Golden Hare are still MIA. We're facing down a meta-war and we need all hands on deck."

"I still have my team working on finding their whereabouts but no luck yet. It's like they vanished of the face of the earth. In the mean time we're going to have to crack down harder on our front. We need to be ready for anything. Transmuter has an army of metas at his disposal and he's going to use it when the time is right."

Daniel walks up to Mr. Hall. "Sir, I'd like to request interrogating the other Cerberus for answers." 

Mr. Hall looks at him for a few second then shrugs his shoulders. "Fuck it, why not. Follow me."

In their underground base, Transmuter stands at the holo-table along with Osiris, Rift Storm, Gyro and El tempo while the others are on holographic screens. How's everything going on your ends? No issues I presume?"

Hyenas screen comes forward.  "No problems on our end, sir. Everyone is staying in line."

Madam vogue and Everchanges screen moves forward. "Everything is running smoothly as planned at River Industries. He doesn't even realizes the subtle mind manipulation we implanted."

Transmuter smiles hearing nothing but good news from his crew. "Perfect, Yinyang?"

"Sir, we have no issues at the moment. If anything comes up I'll notify you immediately." 

Transmuter gives her a slight nod. "That's what I wanted to hear. Keep me posted if anything happens. I expect nothing less from you all." He clicks a button and the transmission ends. At that moment Osiris walks up to Transmuter from her spot.

"Hey, Transmuter, what are we going to do about Retrospect and She-wolf?" Asks Osiris.

"They're going to have to sit tight for a while, unfortunately. There's too much heat around them with those heroes in one spot. We just need to continue on with the mission. Oh, I almost forgot. How's our guest doing?"

Osiris grows a sadistic smile on her face. "She's being a good girl and waiting quietly for you in the back room."

A few minutes have passed before Transmuter walks into the room where Emma is curled up in the corner, face covered in tears from crying, with a small camera in his hand. He walks over slowly to her and stops just 3 feet in front of her. Transmuter slowly kneels down and gets on eye level with her.

"Hello emma, would like to help me make a video for your brother?" 

Emma frantically shakes her head no at him. "I wanna go home! I hate it here!"

"Im sorry you feel that way, emma. Maybe I can change the way you feel about his place." Transmuter turns on the camera. "If you let me."

"NO! JUST LEAVE ME ALONE!"

Transmuters face becomes enveloped in darkness as he reaches out to her with his blackened hand. "Sadly, for you, you don't get a choice in the matter."
