"That is much different than what I experienced with my first shift," I say amusedly. From what I have seen, his shifts have been effortless. I would envy it if I wasn't in awe of his ability and his sheer power.
"That is through no fault of your own," Rees tells me. "But was caused by the sigil and whomever was responsible for placing it on you."
I blink at his statement. I have thought about how the sigil has weakened me and kept me from my wolf, but I had not thought back to my first shift. To the pain it caused me. Since then I have felt powerless, but I hadn't fully realized that those thoughts came from how the sigil influenced me. It made me feel as though something was wrong with me, and those kind of thoughts have stuck with me even though the sigil has been broken.
