I had more blood and guts on me than I thought. After scrubbing my skin nearly raw in a scalding hot water, I feel clean enough to exit the shower. I dress in casual clothes, taking as much comfort in the looseness of my flannel shirt as I do in the stretchiness of my leggings. Then I lace up my favorite pair of combat boots before heading to my first class.

Breakfast is not an option this morning since I just don't think my stomach can handle it.

The news of the two students found dead in the forest didn't reach the rest of the campus until hours later. After both my Horticulture and Applied Aptitude classes, I was walking through the courtyard on my way to lunch when I heard the first murmurs and panicked whispers.

I see Teo talking to a few other people, so I change my direction slightly to walk over to them. Not only would her company make me more calm, but she likely has more information on what happened than even I do - even given my ungraceful fall into the situation.
