1 Hold your horses little brother(3)
Roselia's eyes slowly snapped open and her groggy eyes flickered all around the room.
"Ah.... this splitting headache", she mumbled to herself as a crease formed on her forehead because of the pain.
Hearing the slight moments from his side Ethan came out of his dazedness.
" oh! you woke up. About time you did. Thought I won't be having a chance to speak with you today".
The man looked straight into her eyes . His lips curled up into a small smile while his eyes gave a hint of worry for her. But at present moment she was unable to notice any of these emotions.
Suddenly hearing a man's voice made her speechless. she immediately scrambled off the bed and sat down at the footboard of the bed.
"who are you? ","whats this place? ", "whats going on here? ", As she finished rambling these words her eyes met his, who sat at the exact diagonal to her, at the edge of the bed.
Shock and fear both are evident in her eyes. At the thought of his mate curling herself in fear when she saw him made him sad but, he know this is not the time to feel downhearted. He need to reassure her. He should tell her she is safe here.
In an attempt to put her mind at ease he got up from his bed and turned to stride towards her.
Noticing the man trying to approach her made her heart jump out of her chest. Her hands started to roam her body.
"Probably searching for something", he thought and took a step towards her.
" Don't come near me. I have a knife with me. I will kill you with it".
Her hands desperately trying to find the knife, but she couldn't get a hold of her hand on the pocket. Not knowing what's going on, she bent her head to see.
That's not her dress!, " This isn't my dress ", she muttered.
" where's my bag? ",asking this her eyes searched for her bag in the room.
Hearing her say a knife could kill him made him to laugh his heart out. laughing loud he went in the opposite direction to a table.
" Don't worry. Your belongings are all here. By the way, is this the knife you are talking about ", he said while his eyebrows raised in a questioning manner.
Ethan weighed the knife in his hand. It was no heavier than a kitchen blade but would cut on first contact, even with minimum pressure showing how sharp it is and the good work of its crafter .It had ridges on it so the killers hands would fit in perfectly.
"Not bad", he commented. " But do you really think this small knife could kill me", even before he could complete this dialogue the knife was bent down and throwed in the corner of the room while his lips are smirking in triumph.
Seeing his strength her fear heightened even more. Bringing her knees together placing her head on them she closed off herself with her hands. She started to tremble in fear.
Seeing her in this state he noticed he went little over broad just now. He could here sniffling sounds. If he was a normal human he wouldn't have noticed them but, his werewolf senses made the sound to be very clear as though she was crying hard.
He approached her slowly afraid that any rush in the moments may make her feel threatened. He went to her and kneeled in front her.
Placing his hand on her he said, "Don't worry, you are safe here. Nothing I will let happen to you here", he then squeezed her hand lightly. Just light enough to make her feel secured.
He tried his best to comfort her, yet there is no moment from her side.
Hearing his soothing words she raised her head to meet his eyes.
"Wow, I really didn't expect to see your eyes brimming with tears. Am I really that scary ", he was totally amused by her reaction.
" Really? ", her voice little hard as she tried to clear the lump in her throat.

" She got up?" , following the question a young woman, seemingly younger than the man before me appeared. She is as muscular as the man before me. She wore a slim fitting jeans and a crop top showing her perfect structure and her perfect height. Well, she is tall than most of the average women to say.
Following her suit another young man appeared, "we heard sounds coming from the room ,so we came to check", he said with a smile dancing on his lips.
Frowning, Ethan turned towards Lucas. Connecting mentally , " Don't you know how to knock the door before entering a room?", he asked smugly.
"Didn't encounter a situation to knock the door to meet you", Lucas replied by returning the same smug smile to him.
" Looks like I should start teaching you the basics ", Ethan countered back.
Noticing whats going on in this room Vivian became irritated, " They started it again. When will they stop their childish bickerings. Both of them never leave a situation off the hook", she thought to herself.
"Guys, shall we get back to the main point", she turned towards both of them trying hard to keep the smile on her face.
Both of them nodded in agreement since they know what comes later if they didn't listen to her.
Noticing the girl infront of him he turned to face her.
"This is our pack. Theodore clan", he informed and started to introduce others to her, pointing to vivian, " This is vivi, vivian. She is one of the best trainer compared to many clans and she is my sister", there's a sense of proud accomplishment in his tone showing his sister's achievement.
"And this is my childhood friend, Lucas. He is the Beta of our clan".
Pointing back to him he told, " Sorry for the late introductions. I am Ethan . Alpha of Theodore clan", he declared. It seemed more like bragging about himself.
Not understanding what he meant she voiced out, "Whats Alpha. Is it your code name? ".
The air suddenly started to become gloomy surrounding him.
" What???Did you live in well before. Didn't you read any paranormal books before nor watched any movies before. Don't you really know what's an alpha means or are you trying to act stupid in front of me", he wanted to open her head and see what's going on in that brain of hers.
Lucas laughed out loud while Ethan's face turned out sullen. Probably if Lucas was not here then Ethan wouldn't have paid much heed to it and would have explained what he mean. But that wasn't the case now.
Trying to control his snicker, "calm down Ethan. She is new. Probably she doesn't even know what are we".
" I am already calm enough right now. Can't you see it", he snarled back.
"Yeah. Everyone can see how calm you are now", he replied still laughing at his besties humiliation.
"Look.Dont you remember what happened yesterday. In the forest? ", he began to enquire what exactly happened last night.
" Last night.... At the forest.. ", she tried to remember what happened before she passes out.
" Yeah in the forest. Why were you at the forest? ", Vivian asked ,her question was now firm to know how she ended up there and how all the three vampires were killed by her.
It is really a great move, to kill many single handedly. But In reality it is pretty much a tough fight for a werewolf vs 3 vampires. That too it is her first time shifting which made it very hard to believe what just happened.
Pressing her brain more she began to remember bit by bit, "Last night I was on a run out of my home, in middle of my run I encountered those vampires at the city outskirts. So.. so I started to run into the forest thinking they won't follow me but however they ended up behind me" and she told what happened there. How she turned into a wild beast, how she killed them and at last how she passed out.
She explained to them without missing any simple scene and in return they listened to her Immersing themselves into the whole situation as though they were watching a thriller movie which excited them to the point that no one spoke a single word and all their concentration was on her words.
Although she explained everything enthusiastically she became silenced soon after. She looked as if she was contemplating on something.
"Will you guys kill me since you all got your answers".
The whole room silenced after listening to her question. Indeed that was such a foolish question to ask. Probably she found it's hard to trust them and still had her doubts on them just as they had. At least that's what everyone else thought regarding her question.
" Are you serious, I wouldn't have saved you if I intended to kill you later", Luke added but he knows, even though he bought her home it's not him who fought against the vampires. If it wouldn't have been him she would have come to conscious at some time later and found her way. so technically he didn't really save her.
"I promise you are safe here", Ethan's voice a lot annoyed showing how displeased he was for her words. To begin with, she was his soul mate. He is the right one for her yet she doubts he will slaughter her.
" Destiny is truly playing with me", he assumed.
"Congrats.You killed three vampires in your first shifting. That was a great achievement for your new transformation. Or Should I say that was your first success for your new beginning", Vivi congratulated Rose for her first successful attempt.
One can say that Vivian is diverting the topic wantedly, trying to ease the tension in this room .
" So I think you know what are we now. We all are same. we all are Werewolves", Lucas said happy enough to welcome a new member into their clan.
To be frank leaving all their suspicions about her identity behind, he truly liked Rose from the beginning. Probably it's that whim he wanted to save her which resulted her to end up here. Safely resting in his house.
"wow", Rose exclaimed, " I thought I could only find werewolves and vampires only in TV's and books till I become one and encounter the other".
To say finding her true self made her feel good somehow. And turning into a wolf whenever and wherever she can made her a bit excited.But not to say, she really don't know much about herself.
"Vivi, Why don't you tell her briefly about us.", saying this he jumped to his feet to leave the room.
" Hey, wait for me", haunting him Lucas left behind Ethan. Probably he wants to tease Ethan for some more time so he immediately left after him.
"So where should I start", Vivian pondered on the topic .
" Why don't you tell me from start", Roselia advised knowing she had zero knowledge about werewolves.
"Great", Vivian piqued, "Being the descendants of werewolves we have inherited partial werewolf traits and certain human behavior habits. since we both feed on humans vampires and us are eternal enemies for generations... "
"wait", Rose cut Vivian in middle shocked to at the fact that werewolves too feed on humans.
" Is that for real. Do werewolves feed on humans too? ", she again asked to confirm whether it's true or not.
" Of course. But that's long back. Now we are co-living with humans harmoniously. So let's not worry about that", Vivian tried to reassure her.
Hearing it she signed in relief. Living 19 years as a human and suddenly hearing being fed on humans made her insides churn in discomfort. Even though now she is not one she can't deny the fact once she was a human. So obviously hearing humans as their prey made her horrified.
Besides her terror for losing her life and shock to know that supernatural beings exist. That too harmonuosly with humans seemed sickeningly impossible. She was intrigued in the new beings and she unknowingly being a part of them. Vivian explained everything patiently doing her best to answer a curious Roselia with her never ending questions. After a 'brief' explanation of few hours, rose was satisfied with the answers and took all the information in.
"So, what do you think?" Vivi asked to know the output. Rose looked up at Vivi's hopeful face and smiled warmly "I'm glad to figure out who I am now." Vivian returned the smile with equal warmth "You have a lot figuring out to do, my friend".
"I will" rose spoke with determination, smiling at her new wolf friend.
