Chapter 58: Scarlet Finds Out

I sat on the couch and just looked at her as she was still passed out. Jey stood at a distance as I felt complete fear from him. Not knowing what he is just makes me afraid of him. I didn't know what to do. When I look at him I see those big wings. Those red eyes. Those sharp fangs. I just can't understand it. He is also fast. I saw him working with Oliver through the door earlier and I saw how he had a boulder in hands. A giant rock. Something that can kill someone. He was carrying it as if it was a bag of potatoes. I have to stop thinking about it and just leaned closely to Scarlet. Shaking her slowly.

One of Jeremy's pack members had arrived to give some news to Jeremy and she is there standing. Looking at a distance. Glancing once and a while. I now it is odd for two humans in the center of a pack. A big house. All werewolves. Except for Jey. Whom I don't even know what is he. Oliver sat on the floor legs crossed. He looked kind of weird but Oliver stared at a woman as she stood there at a distance. Looking completely annoyed. What is happening? Is this some type of courtship? She is a werewolf as well. But if I am correct she is the daughter of a warrior wolf. That's if I remember correctly.

I over heard Jeremy presenting her to Luke as she had entered pack grounds without permission. She didn't apologize so she is annoyed that she is not allowed inside to stand beside her Alpha. I looked up to Jeremy who was looking at me with gentle eyes. Luke beside him. I think their talking in their minds again. Scarlet sits up almost screaming and it made me lean back touching my chest. Oh dear lord. My chest. My breath. My mind. This woman. I took deep breaths as I felt a hand behind my back. Gentle pats. It was Aria. I smiled at her and mouthed a thank you.

I looked at Scarlet and I say "Girl... You need to take breaths... Don't scare me like that!"

"Scare you! SCARE YOU! WHAT THE HELL DID I JUST SEE!" she yells as she sits on the couch to look at me

"Take deep breaths... They will explain gently" I tell her

She quickly looks at me with eyes wide open "Y-You now! W-Wh-What he is?"

I shook my head and say "No... I don't but he will say just... Take deep breaths..."

She touched her chest and Jey slowly walked to us. I stood from where I am and I sat beside Scarlet. Holding her hand tightly. Jey looks completely panicked and worried. I didn't understand what he is and why they had to be like that. I sighed out and just held on to Scarlet's hand as she held my own too tightly. This situation has been getting more and more chaotic. I noticed Oliver finally stand up and just walk out of the room. Towards the woman. She looks so serious and so strong. While Oliver is hyper and childish.

I can never imagine Oliver serious. He would look completely weird. I looked back at Jey as he had sat down but Scarlet moved. She moved a bit more into the couch. Afraid. I understand that so I had placed my other hand on her own. She looks at me as she was scared. But I just smiled gently at her as she then looks back at Jey. The look of betrayal and pain in her eyes. She looks completely hurt. She has been betrayed all her life. By her family. By her friends. Even her past relationships.

Reasons why she never stays with a male for too long. The fear of someone hurting her again is too grave. I placed my arm around Scarlet as Jey looked at his own hands. He looks completely worried and in pain as well. These two. I can see in my own future these two giving me headaches.

"I never meant to show you like this..." he starts off gently

"Jey... In the end it is not your fault..." Aria had spoken gently

"It is... This was meant to be kept as a secret... To protect her" Jey says as he looks at Scarlet in her eyes

"Protect me?" Scarlet had finally spoken

"I am still sorry... Lying to you about this was harder than what you think... But everything else I have told you it's the honest truth! I never lied to you" Jey tried defending but the moment he moved Scarlet flinched

I had tensed up but I will let Scarlet be the one to ask all the questions "I-I... I want to believe you but... Seeing you with my own friend... my best friend passed out in your arms... With wings and red eyes... I-I..."

Scarlet was tearing up a bit and I held her closer to me "I-I know... But I didn't do anything wrong... I promise... I-I... I know I lied and you saw me like that... But I would never hurt you... I promised myself since the very first time I laid eyes on you"

Scarlet stares at him intensely "What are you? Why me? W-We..."

Scarlet started shaking more and more as Jey spoke lowly "I... I am very powerful compared to other beings"

"What are you?" Scarlet asked a bit more angry

"I-I... I am a vampire..." Jey responds as he looks down

Scarlet stands up releasing from my hold as she starts of "You got to be lying to me again! You must have drugged me or something!"

I stand up gently and I touched her shoulder "Scarlet... You need to calm down... You're going to end up passing out again"

She slightly pushes me back in panic as she says "No... This can't be real... None of this can be real"

I raised my hand to Luke as I noticed him move a bit and I say "Girl... You have known me your entire life... I showed you and I earned your trust... I would never break it"

Scarlet looks at me with big eyes as tears streamed down "B-B... Are they all vampires also?"

"No... Only Jey... E-Everyone else is something different" I tell her

"What?" she looks at me in pure shock

I wanted to explain more but suddenly glass had shattered. Luke wraps me around his arms and I could see how Jey quickly protected Scarlet. Though he had gotten hurt. There was flying ruble. I hear Jeremy say not again and we slowly poke our heads. So the wolf I saw fighting with someone else is the woman. The other wolf I noticed it is Oliver. The scar gave him away. Scarlet starts screaming in panic. I looked at Luke in panic.

"Oliver... He is still hurt" I say in panic

"Don't worry... We'll separate them" Luke says as he stands straight

Jeremy and him bolt forward as Oliver wasn't even fighting. Even though he is in his wolf form he wasn't even fighting her. She on the other hand was so adamant to get Oliver by the throat. Our backs were to the door so maybe that's why we didn't notice them shifting or anything. Jey and Aria were facing the door but they were looking at Scarlet and I. I looked at Jey as he was bleeding by his head. Scarlet was in panic as she was contemplating. I can see her hand hover his head but she didn't even do anything.

All the sound around us was only grunts and growls. I looked around for my phone. Ashton. I need to call Ashton. Where is that idiot?

"AMELIA I SAID TO STOP IT RIGHT NOW!" I hear Jeremy's voice echo all around us

I looked behind me to Jeremy as he had blood on his chest. My body sprinted up in panic and I ran to him. He looks at me in shock. Blood. There is a lot of it. Oh god. Tears streamed down my eyes as I felt completely panicked. He got hurt. I can't believe this. He got hurt. I looked up to his face as he looks completely confused. His eyes were those mix of red and yellow's again. I felt hypnotized again. I hear a gentle huff and I turn around to look. Luke is looking at me with crossed arms. Jealousy in his eyes. But he wasn't actually looking at me. He was looking at Jeremy.

I looked back at his wounds and I just didn't know what will happen. Jeremy sighs out and raises his shirt. I covered my mouth as a shriek escapes my mouth. But that's when I saw it. His wounds. They were slowly healing. I felt completely amazed. So they can heal. It was leaving a scar behind though. I wanted to touch it but I just didn't dare. That is disrespectful on my side. But I couldn't look away.

I hear the two males talking snapping at something but I wasn't paying attention. My wrist gets grabbed and I looked to the culprit. It was Luke. He had a scratch also healing on his arms. I didn't see that. He places my hand on his wound as I could feel it slowly closing. It felt fascinating. I just didn't know what else to do. I felt worried for two men and one of them being my mate. Maybe I just feel like I owe Jeremy for literally saving my life. Maybe that's it. I subconsciously owe Jeremy. But how can I repay him for saving me.

The way he treats his pack and the way he treated me on the first day as I am human it's a giant leap. I felt how my eyes widened for some reason and I just blinked. I felt hypnotized. Do lycan's have magical abilities. I feel completely curious and I just want to know more about this world. Though seeing how these two are with each other is completely confusing. I hear someone sigh out and I just blinked. Snapping out of my trance.

"Your like a curious puppy... You don't know what to do or how to do it" Luke comments

I looked at him and say "B-Bu-But... You guys got hurt..."

"We'll be ok... Scarlet will be ok also..." Luke comments gently

I looked to Scarlet as she was panicking with Jey on his knees "Now... How do I punish this woman? This is the third time you have fought someone in less than a week..."

I looked at Jeremy as he was staring at the woman who I am assuming is is Amelia but I had an idea so I say "She can stay with us... For two weeks... Help with the farming and children"

"NO!" Amelia snaps quickly

"Seems like a good idea... Luke?" Jeremy spoke as he looks at Luke a big smile on his face

"Being that she is part of your pack and my mate suggested something... I think it is a good idea... Seeing as she is a warrior wolf doing something that revolves around patience and tranquility... It will be a type of training and punishment mixed into one... But you'll have to stay with us Jeremy just to make sure everything is alright" Luke explains gently

I remembered where my hand is and I speak "Luke..."

Jeremy had left to talk to the woman while Aria checked on Oliver but Luke looks at me and speaks "Yes my love..."

"Can I have my hand back?" I asked him with a raised eye brow

He laughs a bit and then places my hand on his chest as he answered "Once you are fully healed... Be ready for a few rounds"

I looked at him in panic as I say "W-W..."

He leans in to whisper in my ear "I haven't forgotten what we have done..."

I swallowed the growing lump as I was able to slip my hand back to my body.

This man will drive me crazy.
