55 55. Confrontation

The King's guards marched forward with the King in front of them. Carrying guns loaded with wolfsbane bullets, they kept pace with King Xavier's steps while maintaining ample distance for the waving end of his one shoulder cape that he had worn over his coat.

Antreas Wotton, Head of the Security, came and joined them from behind.

"Route has been cleared for His Majesty's motorcade." He said and then detached himself from the group while giving a slight bow on Duke Lorenzo's appearance.

Duke Lorenzo, who was accompanied by someone, approached the group. King Xavier paused for them.

"A member of the United Nations Security Council, Your Majesty." Duke Lorenzo introduced.

"Your Majesty." The man bowed.

He watched in discomposure as Xavier walked uncomfortably closer to him.
