Everybody's attention shifted from Xavier and Ariana to them. "Unless you consider taking credit for giving away something that doesn't belong to you as a right thing to do."

"I shall willingly give her all the credits if it makes you happy, Nate." Persephone declared, earning gasps from people at the table.

"It's Alpha Astor for you." Nathaniel announced before getting up and leaving, earning even louder gasps.

Persephone remained seated, fuming in humiliation.
