29 What is she to him?

Damien exited the room, leaving Aurora to cry to her heart's content. What was happening to her? Why was she allowing her determination to crumble after holding it steadfast for five years?

"You are Aurora," she reassured herself, wiping away her tears and preparing to sleep. Her growling stomach reminded her that she hadn't eaten dinner. She felt too lazy to get up, and there was a possibility of running into Damien if she left the room.

She had no desire to see his face for the rest of the night, and he had already instructed her to stay in his room.

Starting tomorrow morning, she would be a proper breeder, no more childish emotions to distract her. If he wanted to be harsh, she could be just as ruthless.

Calming herself, she exhaled her worries and drifted off to sleep.
