　　Kassandra's POV

　　The following morning, I walked straight down to the basement to look for Jarred. Nothing I witnessed last night has any credibility. I haven't earned a good sleep because the thought of it keeps me alive the whole night. I was also waiting for Clayden to come home so I can tell what I found out to him but the sun already rises for the new day, and he still hasn't arrived.

　　"Madame, Helius is still inside the washroom." A soldier stopped me when I was about to enter the basement.

　　I scowl. I lift my hands, a tray in one, and say, "I'm not going to peek at him. Additionally, I'm sending him breakfast."

　　The man appears to have internal inhibitions, but he still did not let his guard down. Instead, he just stand there, doing nothing, and only waited for me to give up myself.
