Chapter Three

Talia;

He ripped the tape off my mouth and I began to beg.

"Please—please, please, I swear I had no choice," tears were streaming down my face now as I hoped to convince him.

"I beg you, please don't hurt my sister. Please, I'll do anything you want. Please," I looked at him with pleading eyes.

"Anything?" His voice was deep and smooth. It matched his sexy face and it took nearly all the strength in me not to slap myself.

I was supposed to be begging for my life and that of my sister's and not ogling a man who most probably was going to kill me. A dangerous man who belonged to the mafia and the other scary-looking man beside him.

The way he said the word frightened me. I had said I'd do anything, but not anything, anything. This man looked like someone who'd only want me to do something I shouldn't do.

"What is your name?" He questioned gruffly.

"Talia, Talia Fisher," I said quickly and he grunted.

"You took something from me." He said, confirming my earlier suspicions.

He was the owner of the money I stole. Damn you Diego! For making me steal from such a dangerous person.

"I'm sorry, I'll return the money. Please just spare me and my Sister."

He grunted and I shuddered with fear. Wondering if he was going to kill me regardless.

"Do you know how I found you?"

I shook my head. I had a vague idea that it was from the money but I wasn't too sure.

"You're a stupid thief who was too dumb to realize that she had stolen marked notes," he yelled and my eyes widened.

I had guessed that it was the money, I just didn't know how. That was probably why Doctor Henderson had looked at me like that.

He must've sent the notice out that his money was missing and announced that he had marked it. Maybe Doctor Henderson was even a part of this man's crew.

"I'm not bothered about the money," he said and my eyes widened. The scary-looking guy too must've been surprised as he muttered something that sounded like "Alpha."

Huh! Why then am I here if it wasn't about the money? I blinked rapidly to be sure I wasn't dreaming.

"You stole something else from me," he began and I furrowed my brows.

I never stole anything again. It was only the money I took. Or had I picked his pocket in the past? But even if I had the money I must've taken would be nothing compared to this huge amount of money he had just told me that he didn't care about.

"I—I didn't take anything else, sir," I began and he raised a hand to silence me.

"S—sir," I said, avoiding his gaze as he gave me a death glare.

"There was an object in the bag. Round like a coin but bigger. It has a logo of two wolves and a moon." He stated and I shook my head.

I had never seen this object he was talking about. I sure as well didn't take it. For him to care more about it than the money meant that it was something valuable, gold perhaps.

"I don't—I haven't!"

"Bullshit!" He screamed and I shuddered.

"Think about it. You might've discarded it somewhere since it wasn't money," he stated and I shook my head, suddenly realizing something.

He had said that it was in the bag. If indeed it was, then I really hadn't taken it. I had given the bag to Diego and I couldn't even reveal that right now as Diego had warned that if I ever got caught and dared to mention him, he would find my sister and kill her. I couldn't let him do that because I knew he could.

Diego had Men everywhere. He must've known that I had been caught by now.

"I don't!—-"

I didn't complete my words when I felt myself being yanked from my feet by the scary-looking man.

"Think carefully before you answer."

"Yulian," the other man said and he released me.

"Don't forget that we have your sister. If you don't start talking right now, I can't guarantee you That you'll still see her in one piece," he threatened and I didn't have the time to begin to think if he was just bluffing or if he would make good of his threat.

I began to wail loudly. I knew I couldn't scream as this place looked like an abandoned house and would only get me into much trouble.

"I don't know anything—please," I pleaded and I saw a muscle tick in his jaw as he turned and whispered something to the scary-looking man.

The last thing I remembered was the scary-looking man throwing me over his shoulder as I struggled to be free from him.

I felt something placed over my head, covering my face.

I felt myself being dropped on the ground and heard the sound of a chain rattling. I opened my eyes carefully to see my sister beside me. I rushed to her side and pulled her into my embrace.

"Ruby! Are you hurt? Did they do anything to you?"

I sniffed, blinking back tears as I held her tightly as if she would escape from my embrace.

She nodded her head, but I wasn't satisfied as I pulled her away and began to look for any sign of injuries on her body.

"I'm sorry, I'm sorry,it's all my fault," I sniffed as I used the back of my palm to wipe my tears.

I didn't know what would happen to us but I was scared. I hadn't seen my sister since that day at the hospital.

"Does your stomach hurt that much?" I questioned and she shook her head.

I was about to say something again when she suddenly widened her eyes and shuffled closer to me. I turned to see the source of her discomfort and sighed when I found out that it was him. My sexy, handsome captor.

I swallowed hard as a feeling of dread coursed through me. I didn't know what he wanted with us.

"I really don't know where that—item is. I've never seen it."

There was an unrecognizable expression on his face and it terrified me. I couldn't risk being In Diego's bad books.

"I heard your sister needs that surgery immediately—"

Tears welled up in my eyes and I blinked them back. I felt that my tears would bring him joy and I didn't want to give him that satisfaction.

"Let's make a deal," he said and my eyes shot up to meet him. I quickly averted my gaze.

This guy was some kind of gang leader, I had to be careful with him. His deal might be a trap.

"I'll leave the money for you and take your sister to the best hospital for the surgery. All you have to do is find this object for me."

My heart raced. It was such a good deal, but I knew better than to trust him. He might be lying because what kind of object was that exactly? The money I had stolen was almost a billion dollars and my sister's surgery cost quite a lot.

Why would he want to do that just for a small object like that? He was definitely lying. I couldn't risk going to Diego's place when I wasn't sure I could trust him.

It was as if he could read my thoughts.

"Don't trust me. I don't want you to. But you have my word on that. If you need me to sign it on paper, I will."

But I had a feeling in my gut that he wasn't lying. My next words surprised even me.

"I'll find it."

He nodded, smiling. "Atta girl!"

I would do this, for my sister. I already had a plan brewing in my head.

I muttered a quiet greeting to Ralph, One of Diego's men and he glared at me.

I kept praying that they wouldn't have found out that I was kidnapped.

"Why are you here?" He thundered and I rolled my eyes.

"I'm here to see Diego, what else?"

I glanced at the watch he was wearing. It was a designer and I knew that he had gotten that with the money I had stolen. My money! I had single-handedly taken the money without their help.

"He's not around," he replied gruffly and my heart sank.

Whenever Diego wasn't around, he was most likely on vacation or some business which could take days or even weeks.

I suspected that this time It would be a vacation as he had gotten enough money from the money I stole. The greedy bastard.

"When will he be back?" I questioned and he shrugged.

Since he was away, it meant that he never found out that I was kidnapped. He must've thought that I was at a hospital with my sister.

"The bag—the bag of the money—,"

He quickly interrupted me. "What!" He snapped.

"I'm looking for something, it's urgent—it's—"

"It's not here!" He said without even letting me complete what I was saying and I glared at him in surprise.

"You didn't let me finish what I was saying—"

"It doesn't matter! Whatever it is you're looking for, it's not here," he says firmly and I shake my head.

"Look, Ralph. Please this is a matter of life and death, please—"

"Look, Tally. You need to leave right now!" He barked and tears welled up in my eyes.

If I didn't find that Object I would be in a lot of trouble and I couldn't even explain to him. If they find out that the person I had stolen from is holding my sister captive and is threatening my own life too, they wouldn't hesitate to kill me.

"Please it's very urgent to me, just tell me if you've seen it—it's round—"

"I said leave!" He yelled, interrupting me and I fell to my knees.

"I will give you my own share of the money. That object is very important to me," I pleaded and his eyes twinkled.

"You! Give me money?" He chuckled. "Wasn't that the money you used for your sister's surgery?"

He walked towards me and I swallowed hard as he glared at me.

SLAP!!

I held my right cheek with my palm, my eyes widening in shock.

"You sold us out!" He said accusingly and I shook my head.

"You bitch!"

He began to kick me and I placed my hands on my head to protect my skull as I prayed for help. I knew they would kill me.
