Waking Up

I wake with a start. My mind is blank and I can't recall anything from before. I can feel softness under me. My eyes see darkness, but I can make out enough to know that I'm in a room of some sort. I lay down and listen. I don't hear any machines or any talking. Before I can move, something heavy lands on top of me and I feel sparks all over. I take in a deep breath and let it out. I close my eyes and go back to sleep.

*HOURS LATER*

I wake again, though this time not in such a panic. I open my eyes and I notice the color of the walls. I realize that I'm in my own room. It feels like forever since I have been here. I feel around next to me, but there is nothing but cool sheets under my hands. I turn to my side, but the bed is empty. I swear I felt sparks on my body. I shake my head at the thought; probably wishful thinking.
