Mr Prime Minister

"Shantel ! . Do you want to bring shame upon me. I didn't buy you many dresses and send you to many beauty parlor to refuse the proposal. You have no right to turn down this. I already signed this deal long ago with the prime minister". Shantel mother spoke without regret emotions. She was only angry at her daughter for refusing to be the prime minister's mistress.

" I was a fool to think that you loved me. I thought my mother wanted me to have the perfect life of a girl. Shame on you mother". Shantel painfully said . She couldn't believe she was already sold to the prime minister. Her mother hadn't even given her a head start for her to accept her destiny long ago.

"It's not like you have a choice, you are his". Her mother said with a twisted mouth.

sobs. sobs. sobs.

Shantel sobbed lowly.

"I hate you. I hardly believe you gave birth to me".

"Shut up and pack your clothes. Your master is waiting for you to please him. I only care about the money". Her mother replied and walked off to take a cigarette . With a heavy heart , Shantel walked towards to enter her room and bring out her belongings.

"Mother please rethink over this. I can work and pay him later. I know you did this because you had no choice". Her mother stared at her with deep emotions flowing through her eyes, she walked towards Shantel and touched her cheeks.

"I'm sorry all this had to happen to you. it's not my fault you say. haha you are too naive. So brainless and innocent. Now get out of here to serve your master". Shantel had an initial joy when her mother began to speak however her face saddened . She stared at the woman who claimed to have given birth to her for a while before shaking her head and walking out with her belongings. She gasped as she saw a white Limo parked outside. A man who was probably one of the butlers opened the door for her as another with the same attire took her bag . She just sighed and walked to sit in the car and no matter how comfy it was, she just didn't feel happy.

"Hello madam, would you like some snacks?" . This time it was a lady who spoke. Shantel raised her head to see a middle aged woman who had a sweet smile on her face .

"No thanks. I don't want to eat". She responded to the woman and placed her head back down on her laps.

" You just have to relax ok. The prime minister would be good to you I promise. He will take things easy with you. Don't get scared that he will force himself on you ok. I know this because I was his ex wife". Her last two words made Shantel to spring up from her seat and mistakenly hit her head on the roof of the car.

"Your ex husband is the prime minister and now you work for him". Shantel asked with shock. This was something she didn't expect. She had it in mind that the prime minister would get tired of her and kick her out but she didn't know she would have to work for him afterwards.

"Did you choose to stay?" . She asked her with worry. The woman smiled lovingly at her and spoke.

"yes I chose to stay. He wouldn't hinder you ok. You are free to do whatever you want in his place, except look at another man. That terminates the contract and you would be severely charged.

The woman face saddened but she didn't show it to Shantel. She herself had made a mistake and that's why she's working for the prime minister to pay him back.

"Miss. Can I ask you something?". Shantel nervously asked her.

"Well ofcourse. Go on". She nodded and smiled.

"I'm not the Prime minister wife. I'm just his mistress. Does this mean you were his only wife. Because of you, maybe he doesn't want to get married again". The question slapped the woman in her face. She wasn't expecting that. It was true she was his only previous wife. The rest were just mistresses. She regrets it till this day . If only she hadn't acted foolish and fell for another man. The prime minister loved her once but now all he sees get as is a maid. He's taking his revenge on her and she knew it even though they both pretend it's just to pay a dept.

" Contracts are dangerous. Yes I was his only wife but I betrayed him"
