Crystal's POV

Done with breakfast and yet, dad didn't show up not to talk of his beta and gamma. Only God knows why they skipped breakfast for the very first time, I thought, getting off for the seat.

Making my way to the kitchen, I grab hold of some fruit as well as a basket which I pour them into alongside three chilled bottles of water.

Placing them including forks and knifes like a small knife in there, I place a cloth on it which would serve as laid.

Who knows, they might not be starving, or they might not have the appetite to eat, which is why I thought of taking them fruit instead.

Seeing how good and presentable it looks, I couldn't help but smile at my hand work. With a quick short prayer for dad to be in a good mood, I make my way towards his office while carrying the basket on my head.

Waking towards the familiar deep brown door with the usual two securities there who stood as guards at the entrance, I take a deep breath before proceeding further in this journey I sent myself.

Saying my greetings to them, I asked them to announce my arrival, which they did without questioning me or having to search me like they do to others.

'' You can come in.'' said one if the guards who went in to inform them of my arrival the moment he steps out of the office while I smile at them nodding.

I said them because dad is not always alone in his office, especially in the morning, unlike evening when everyone is all thinking about dinner while some just arrive from their workplace.

The only thing that can make dad be with someone in the evening is if it's an emergency and time worth, but if not, he prefers to spend it with his family, especially mom.

Because by then, I would be exhausted and hungry while waiting for the dish on my plate.

Because I have spent my afternoon and day playing or working on the little garden I was given at the back of my room.

I only get to talk to him or be with him in the evening only if I am bored with doing anything like things I usually do every day.

Which is why I retire to his place while the three of us spend the evening together like a family.

'' Thanks." I said while I gave the two of them each a little basket of fruit which I kept aside because I know obviously I would meet one or two people whom I would want to give to.

Either before I reach here or in my dad's office but seeing them.

I thought to just let them have it since they couldn't take breakfast because dad didn't leave his office to come down for breakfast as well.

They showed me their gratitude and how grateful they are for the little gift I gave them before they opened the door for me while I was welcomed by the darkness around.

If not for the help of werewolves sight, I would be like a blind person dropped in a room full of light but can't see the lightness because she or he is blind.

His office is of brown color, while his tables and chairs are all deep brown. Let's say all the furniture in here are deep brown just like his door aside little design on them which is gold but not a light one but a deep one.

I wonder what he sees in dark colors, it's normal for him to like darkness in his office due to security reasons but not also the room that him and mom share also.

Mere staying there at night during those days' dad is away, and I was still little, to make me scared.

Especially, I wake up in the middle of the night because I wouldn't be able to see a thing there.

If not for mom that's always beside me during those days, I wouldn't be able to stay there for even a day due to darkness. But the moment I stop seeking for warmth of dad's bed, I was able to own my room then make it my choice.

I made it a mixture of dark and bright color in order not to make my room too dark and too light. One thing in common of our creation is that most of us like darkness because we could see clearly even at night, unlike human being.

I was still busy looking around his office that I didn't even notice that there's presence before me already, not until that smell hit my nose making me look before me only to see that figure hovering over me.

Yeah, to dad am really short unlike mom, but that's because he is a male spec of a werewolf, and they are strong and hefty even their height alone makes people fears them.

" Dad I…" I started but paused to clearly my throat when I realize that aside the beta and gamma, there's a visitor there seated, and they are in between something while my presence here is stopping them from continuing.

Where did you put your manners crystal, I thought scolding myself while I bowed to dad and bare my neck as well as just bowing for the rest including the visitor seated with them who smell strongly like an alpha?

A thing about werewolves is that whenever a group of Alpha stands together as well as their Alpha, they can only bare their neck to their Alpha but bow for the rest.

The only reason you can find a werewolf baring its neck to an Alpha as a means of greetings is only if its Alpha is not present at that moment.

But if the Alpha is in presence, it's seen as a disrespectful act coming from a pack member.

" Wow, your daughter has grown into a beautiful lady.'' The man said, making me look at him with disgust due to the way he licked his lips.

But thanks to my wolf, I was able to calm my nerves down and stop myself from rolling why eyes at him.

He is always like this, and he is known for his position and dirty act, but no one can say a thing because he is an Alpha himself as well as the Alpha king right-hand man…. TBC
