33. Sweet Nothings

"Goddess, my thoughts were on meeting that old friend I mentioned a few days ago. I was wondering what she looks like now. Her father was good looking and her mother a little plainer. She's always looked like her mom."

Gabriella nodded as her lips drew together in distaste. "So you are comfortable thinking about another woman while I am in front of you?"

Jerome looked at the goddess before him then looked away. She was wearing a cami nightdress. The top of the dress looked like a bra that was opaque on the sides and transparent halfway through the cup.

The bottom of the dress was a skirt that was translucent with little black opaque hearts that obscured the tiny black triangle that drew Jerome's attention. He could feel panic rise. He needed to look at her but her face was angry which called out to the beast in him which wanted to make her angrier.
