32. Bittersweet Return

"Boss, relax," Pieter advised. "Things are under control. If you are coming back on Monday, then it's fine. I completely understand the need to complete the mating bond."

Jerome frowned. He opened his mouth to correct his Beta, then he shut his mouth. He wanted to stretch the Honeymoon.

He had discovered things about his sweet, little mate that made her even sweeter. He still had a few more things that he would rather do far, far from the pack and a few more days would allow him that luxury. They should have returned to the pack later today but the desire to focus on his goddess was pressing him to push back.

It seemed to him that his femme was changing scents and he almost desperately wanted to be with her and just hold her a bit longer. He knew that as soon as they returned to the pack, he would resume Junior Alpha duties and then prepare to fully take over the pack in a few years from his father. He was glad that it would not have to happen soon after his arrival back home.
