12 Prepare For A Wedding.

"She is a slave?"

A deep voice reverberated across the room and a dark glint flashed before the delta, a silver dagger kissed the surface of his white neck. His adam's apple bubbled but he dared not pull back, he merely glanced at the alpha with a narrowed expression.

"You dare try to deceive me, Dominik?!" Ezriel barked in anger and he even pushed the dagger dangerously closer to the young man's skin until dark red blood trickled out of the spot.

"Do you think I will dare lie to you?" Dominik uttered fearlessly and with a slight snicker. He revealed no sigh of fear or defeat and only looked calmly at the Alpha.

Ezriel noticed the smoothness of Dominik's words and immediately understood that his doubt was irrational, he pulled back his dagger and tossed it aside. His searing red eyes gleamed with immense anger.

He threw a cold look at the delta and curled up the corner of his thin lips, he snorted lightly and said, "of course, you wouldn't".

Dominik arched a brow, for a moment, he failed to fathom his King's real thoughts. He took a step back and looked closely at the Alpha.

"What are your thoughts, your majesty?" He queried carefully. His instinct told him the king was up to no good this time.

"What do you suggest, Dominik?" Ezriel opened his mouth and voiced deeply, his eyes lingered on the young man in front of him, he raised his leg and walked back to his seat. He sat on the cushion and crossed his legs.

The Delta narrowed his eyes briefly, lowered his head, and opened his mouth, "My King, I would dare say you let go of the human... She is human after all, even if you break the mate bond, she would not feel it whatsoever... Rather than her, you can pick a maiden from the nobles and crown her your queen and Luna, doing this will also benefit you, your majesty. The bloodline will also be stronger"

"Ha!" A short scornful laugh followed the delta's words. Delta Dominik raised his head and looked at the king, he met with a bloodied cold aura, his body shuddered and his lips twitched. He returned his gaze to the marble ground.

"Is that so?" He sneered, "you are asking me to throw my mate aside?" he leaned forward and arched a brow, his murderous gaze piercing through the delta.

"Don't get me wrong, your majesty... that is not what I meant" Delta Dominik denied.

"Indeed, explain" the alpha expressed, he did not give the delta a chance to escape. He trapped and choked the young man with his questions.

"Your majesty, humans are insensitive to such things as mating bonds, they are grown with a vulnerable system called emotions and hormones that help them to love and build a relationship. They lack the natural instinct that helps to recognize one's soulmate at a glance. Unlike us, these groups can like more than one person in a short time. They relate according to the dictate of their emotions and desires that accumulate over some time.

My king, your mate has indeed been found, however, it is ridiculous that she is human! This is for your good, my king. Even if she is your mate, without the instinct to tell her that you are her soulmate, the human may never develop affection for you and you might never get a chance to mark her properly. It would be a shame then. If you chose to ignore the making bond now and pick a woman from the nobles, neither you nor the human girl would be affected. You will only long for her for a while but, once your desires are satisfied, you will naturally forget her"

The delta thought that his explanation was reasonable enough, the alpha was even more sensible, he should understand...

"Good, very good!" The king snickered and clapped his hands.

Assuming that the Alpha was pleased with what he had said, the delta raised his head and met with the King's eyes. A vicious gaze landed on him and he froze.

"Y-your majesty...?" He stuttered.

"Prepare for a wedding" Alpha Ezriel abruptly voiced.

The young man was shocked, he looked at the king and cautiously phrased his question, "Who is getting married, my king?"

"Me" A deep frank response followed.

"You..." Delta Dominik closed his mouth and swallowed hard, after a moment of hesitation, he opened his mouth again, "your majesty, are you willing to pick your Luna among that nobles now?"

The King narrowed his eyes and a dangerous glint flashed through his eyes.

"I won't abandon my mate, only she is worthy to stand beside me and be my Queen, the Luna, and also my lover!" He proclaimed arrogantly.

"Your majesty, you can't do that!" Dominik was stomped. He could not hide the shock in his eyes while he glanced at the alpha and shook his head.

"My king, a human is not worthy to stand by your side, not to even mention a slave!" This time, the delta was really scared that Ezriel would lose all of his reasons and chose the human. It did not take too long before his fears were confirmed.

"She has a new title now, a Queen and the Luna" Ezriel expressed coldly.

"Your majesty, what are you thinking?! Have you totally lost it?!" The Delta could no longer hold back, the moment he opened his mouth, he could not help but scold the alpha.

"I understand you have waited for so long for your mate to appear, we have all hoped that she would definitely be a special person. But now that she had appeared and turned out to be that... Think it clearly, my king, what you need now is one who has equal strength as you and can stand by your side to lead the kingdom!

A wolfless breed would only pull you down! Marking such a helpless human would only create a vulnerable space for the enemies to attack you and the kingdom. Your majesty, you have always thought for the kingdom that you singlehandedly built and ruled for hundreds of years, I implore that you do the same again. This is not the time to consider the affairs of the heart.

The human girl, she might not even think of you at all, humans are fickle-minded creatures. My king, she is totally different from you. If you chose to mark her, you might as well be putting her life at stake. You are yet to develop actual feelings for her and it is only just the mating bond drawing you close to her now. If you resist and pick one of the princesses around now, they will also satisfy your majesty's desires. My king, do not be hasty, please, reconsider"

After the long speech, the delta bowed deeply and waited for the Alpha's verdict.

A moment passed before the King eventually opened his mouth and said,

"Fate cannot be wrong, my decision stands, and I will only choose her"
